Kokanee Crankworx 2011 - Fat Tire Criterium in photos

Whistler Village saw the return of classic criterium racing for the first time in over a decade. The race course - 800m loop - was set around new Whistler Olympic plaza which made it a great spectator friendly event. The riders were constantly passing by the crowd and fighting for the best position for the final sprint. Brian Lopes won the event with Kevin Calhoun finishing 2nd and local Matt Ryan took the 3rd place. After the race the plaza filled out with people and the party rolled on with the Kokanee Crankworx kick off concerts with Kostaman and K'NAAN.
