Outerbike is the largest Dirt Demo event outside of Interbike. SInce it is open to the public, people from all walks of life have an opportunity to test ride bikes from nearly every bike company imaginable. It doesn’t hurt that the event takes place in Moab, Utah which is one of the greatest Mountain Bike destinations in the world! In addition to the massive fleets of demo bikes, there are companies from every corner of the bike industry who are grateful to have an opportunity to interact with the public on a more personal level in the perfect festival atmosphere.

Stormy weather was lingering in the area throughout the weekend but each day the sun made a strong appearance in between the thunder, lightning, wind, and rain which swept across the vast landscape of the Utah wonderland.

The Kali Road Warrior Crash Replacement//Helmet Exchange Program was in effect keeping people safe throughout the weekend. The trails surrounding the venue are technically challenging and there were more than a few nasty crashes. Here are a few new members of the Kali Family.

After the early morning rush, the crowd came in waves as people rotated through the sea of demo bikes available. Capturing the attention of a captive audience, Jenson USA (@jensonusa) held a raffle each day of the event. There were more than a few Kali Helmets and T-shirts raffled off to the excited crowd.

Thankfully, the cloud cover kept temperatures down but it was still hot and dry out on the trails surrounding the venue. Camelbak (@camelbak) was on site with a massive water truck and complimentary hydration station to keep people hydrated throughout the weekend.

The La Sal Mountains made a very picturesque backdrop to the event venue. As storms passed through the area, there were moments of clearing and visibility like this. Since the highly coveted and often elusive Whole Enchilada Trail starts way up in there, it was a tease to see the mountains make brief appearances throughout the weekend.

Many of the Bike Industry folks were able to get out and ride the day before the event but the weather would not permit us to get all the way up to Burro Pass for The Whole Enchilada. Luckily, Porcupine Rim Trail was a great consolation prize! Pictured here is part of the lead group that got out in front of the pack (@zoicclothing @fox @transitionbikes @intensecycles @kaliprotectives). Smiles all around!

At the end of each work day, there were opportunities to ride one of the many trails surrounding the venue. With views like this, it was hard to say no! Sneaking in a quick one here with the crew from @zoicclothing and watching the La Sals to see if it would clear up for The Whole Enchilada.

Back to stormy weather! This one came in hot and surprised everyone. It would linger throughout the last day of the event and into the next day, keeping the Whole Enchilada just out of reach.

Patience and perseverance paid off and the sky opened up to allow access to the top of Burro Pass in the days after the event. With around 7000 feet of elevation loss over 25 miles, The Whole Enchilada Trail is quite possibly one of the most challenging, rewarding, and visually stunning trails of all time! It was the perfect way to cap off an amazing season for the Kali Road Warrior Program! Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm for the Kali Protectives Racer Support//Crash Replacement//Helmet Exchange Program. It has been an honor to be part of such a great program and I am forever grateful to be working with Kali Protectives as they push the limits of what is possible in helmet and protectives technology.
Kali Road Warrior over and out!

What is the Kali Race Support Program and who is the Road Warrior?

In an effort to support events and racers of all levels, Kali Protectives has launched a new Race Support helmet exchange program in conjunction with the Kali Road Warrior.

We all ride and unfortunately, crashes do happen. Sometimes that happens at an event or race weekend, resulting in your helmet being damaged and unsafe to continue to use. But you have more racing to do. What now? When the Road Warrior attends a scheduled event, registered racers/attendees have the opportunity to submit their crash damaged helmet for inspection, and exchange it for a brand new Kali helmet at no charge. Kali is on hand to ensure riders can continue to compete without worrying about their helmet.

Currently, the program is limited to the West Coast, however, we are preparing to launch another Road Warrior and Race Support Program in Canada. Providing this initiative continues to be successful, we may establish Road Warriors in other territories.

If you would like to learn more about the Kali Road Warrior or possibly schedule him to attend your next event, shoot an email to kaliroadwarrior@kaliprotectives.com.
