Burning Question: 7 Brands That Haven't Released an eMTB Yet
@mickstwin: it's not just the weight causing the problems though is it, the gen4 Bosch CX motor puts out the same peak torque as a 2004 Volkswagen Lupo.

Video: Remy Metailler Guides 4 Riders Down Rupert in Squamish for the First Time
@Malachai20: I've been riding for 25 years and I'm still scared when I'm pushing my boundaries. Learning new skills and attempting tougher features was the whole point of the excersise, they aren't gonna get better on a bike repeating the same comfy trails. They clearly applied the teaching on offer and all got perceptibly better positioned and more capable over the course of the video. If you have to be 100% sure to drop in, then you're either riding the same old trails everytime or have so much confidence it'll bite you in the ass hard one day. I totally agree that it's subjective and the mark of a good coach is to correctly assess whether a rider is ready for a certain challenge, but it didn't seem to me that anyone here was so far outside their comfort zone it was reckless, especially considering they were clearly prepared to listen to the advice given by someone like Remy who rides a bike better than 99.99% of us and wanted to challenge themselves.

DMR trailstar 27.5, VGC

$250 GBP
DMR Trailstar Steel Frame, Hardcore Hardtail, VGC, 27.5", Throwback Blue, Large. Comes with headset and some recently fitted external gear outer, also rear Axle (12x 142mm) and seat clamp. VGC Frame in the best colour, not been abused and not been ridden much. It's just a bit too big for me so I'm reluctantly letting it go, but I've really enjoyed it despite it being a bit too big, it has a fantastically compliant ride from the 4130 Steel tubing (steel is real!) and good geometry for a modern hardtail. It can do it all, from day long rides to steep and rowdy downhill sessions. And it's a fantastic colour with good graphics. If I was an inch or two taller I wouldn't be selling it. After this I'll never have another Alu hardtail. Only selling as I've found another steel HT that's better suited to my size. Can easily clear 2.8" tyres, I ran it with 2.8" Nobby Nic's and there was plenty of clearance (probably fit 3.0" tbh) and can go even bigger if you want to go plus size with the DMR swapout dropouts (not included, but available cheaply from DMR). Suited to a 150 - 160mm fork. Still has factory fit chainstay protector rubber strip. There are a couple of small areas of cable rub through the paint, a little scrape on one chainstay and a couple of areas that have been touched up with paint but no dents or similar - it really is a VGC frame that hasn't had much use, has been well looked after and has been stored in a warm unit in between sporadic use. Comes with Headset installed, running smoothly as well as external gear cabling (jagwire) that's hardly been used. The seatstay cable routing has been modified to accept longer gear outer (included) rather than having exposed gear cable, to prevent the cable getting clogged up with mud. These retail at £500 and they're now sold out everywhere, so grab a bargain! Collection preferred (Huddersfield) but will post insured for £25 if required. Cheers :-)

Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti v2 170mm Coil forks, excellent

$275 GBP
Hi there Excellent condition Marzocchi 55 in the best ever version. Rc3 damper is seen by many as the perfection of MTB dampers. Comes with later factory ti spring which is a bit firmer and considered the best version. There is one tiny, tiny nick on a stanchion less than 1mm long about 75% up, which isn't deep and is almost unnoticeable, and doesn't affect the performance of the fork. If I'm being picky, there are also a few dark spots in the nickel coating, but that's pretty standard for these. There is no flaking at all and the fork works perfectly. You won't find one in as good condition anywhere, I looked for years and then ended up getting a new bike shortly after purchasing. Recently serviced, barely ridden. Comes with axle (20mm QR) Will post insured for £17.50 or collection from Huddersfield. Cheers!
