Check out Bryson Martin's carbon Ripley build on his IG. It has a DVO Topaz + Sapphire 34 and is easily one of the best looking Ripleys out there.

In re: to a used Hummer being better than a new Tesla... the podcast "How To Save a Planet" has an episode "Are Electric Cars Really Better for the Climate" that discusses the common questions around buying a new electric car vs a used combustion engine, its impacts on the environment both short term and long term, a coal powered grid, battery manufacturing and recycling, etc. It has some really good insight worth checking out if that interests you.

@brianpark: To me plus tires make the most sense to be on a hardtail, especially for the majority of trails I ride. And I'm always the one having the most fun on the trail, especially when it starts getting a bit rowdy.

Is there a specific tire combo would you recommend for a plus bike? I've been happy with a 2.8 Hans Dampf/2.6 Nobby Nic combo on my hardtail but I don't have any experience with much else.
