Burning Question: Is Super Boost 157 Spacing Going to Become the New Standard?
I would love to know exactly how much extra stiffness this provides. Or at least someone to do the maths on the angle change of the spoke between 135, 142, 148, 157 and now 157+? It must be something around 1 degree. How the fuck does changing the spoke angle by such a small percentage add any significant stiffness. I'm not saying it doesn't make a difference, I'm saying it's a micro change. No benefit to the vast majority of riders, but it sure does sell more product.

On a Raw Diet - Dexter Robson
That was just boring. A video where the guy looks like he's trying like crazy, but still looks slow and awkward is just annoying

Pinkbike Poll: Olympic Downhill?
I think a big negative of the Olympics is that they take the fun out of sport. We complain about the uci being bad for DH. The IOC would be much worse. They are only interested in making money, therefore a poor sport like dh would be nothing more than a silly sideshow just like bmx. Dh would be poorly comentated and embarrassing to watch for anyone who really loves the sport. It would be completely commercial and have to be based on country support . This would be very bad for places like NZ or SA. Even though some of the best riders come from these countries, without foreign sponsorship, these guys would have no chance. The local cycling bodies have no input into them. Also it would mean that the pinnacle of the sport would be every 4 years, in between would be nothing more than a sideshow. This is already true of XC and bmx is now similar.

New Zealand MTB Cup Final Round / Hunua
Nothing faulty with the frame or poor design. Just poor maintenance and over tightening of bolts. This can and does happen to any bolt which is over tightened repeatedly. I replace all the bolts on my bike (Turner DHR) annually. It costs about $20. The real key though is using a torque wrench and correct torque settings.
