Where will your money go?

• $200 is enough to buy one child a new bike and a helmet.
• We are working with community centres, schools, youth and family service programs and other established charities and foundations to identify children from low-income families who will benefit from this gift.
• We are worldwide.
• We aim to ensure that the children receiving these gifts are educated on basic bicycle safety and maintenance.

Wish the Canyon Strive CF was a tandem but I donated anyhow.

Is it possible to add other payment methods (paypal or something like that) than credit/debit cards because my card doesn't work so I can't donate. I'm sure a I'm not the only one with this problem.

VDR I hope you aren't proof that anyone can find a negative to everything. Scenario; they buy cheaper bikes for the kids and are able to buy for more kids, sounds good right? A year down the road those cheap bikes fall apart and break or require more maintenance etc. and you don't have any luck with warranty from the manufacture and your LBS who is full of hipsters that only want to work on name brand stuff show a lack of desire to fix your bike etc. so now you have more kids with bikes they can't ride and think all the charity was doing is giving us crap to get their tax write off, see where this is going?

Not to hate on any of this - I love the donations and all, but the last pic shows a Specialized bike. Aren't there more affordable brands? Especially for a bike that one may grow out of fairly quickly.

I'm pretty sure Specialized will donate/ sell a number of these bikes to the cause at cost. This will allow them to write it off on taxes etc, but it's also great promotion for them. So to answer you question, if they were buying these bikes at full cost you would be right, but they are going to get a killer deal from specialized (I would assume).

Also, I don't know the balance bike market all that well, but I don't know if little kids bikes demand the same premium as their dentist machines.

I'm really disappointed that us Quebecers can't donate!

Why is that? Doesn't seem right.
