Just Riding Along - Sunday Comics with Taj Mihelich
A customer claimed JRA on their wheel after I witnessed him pinballing down a blue trail on his hybrid.

Just Riding Along - Sunday Comics with Taj Mihelich
Had a customer claim he was JRA when he hit a bump and the bearings flew out of his headset. Had a look and it turns out he had it apart and put it back together in the wrong order

Giant Anthem Advanced 1 27.5

$3200 CAD
Selling my 2018 Anthem advanced 1, size medium. I am 5' 10" and it fits me perfectly. The bike is in fantastic shape with only a few small scuffs from loading it on my bike rack. Fork and shock are mint, and plenty of miles left on the chain. Specs can be found here: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/ca/anthem-advanced-1 The only difference from stock is that I swapped the front tire for a 2.4" High Roller and put on a pair of Shimano M530 pedals. This bike is a blast, and probably the most versatile one I have ever owned. The Anthem Advanced 1 is unchanged for 2019, except for a downgraded drivetrain (NX vs GX Eagle) so you are essentially getting a better bike for less money. Can't beat that! Will ship within Canada, buyer pays shipping. Thanks!

Ask Pinkbike: A Stubborn Dropper Post, Bike Fitting, & Big Mud Tires
With Giant droppers I find that cleaning the internals and re-lubing the post with slick honey usually helps. Can also spray a little bit of silicone stanchion lube on it. Check the cable and actuator to make sure there's nothing dragging or binding up.

Opinion: Does Downhill Have Nowhere Else to Go?
@bcmrider: Absolutely agree. Even the smoothest DH course is going to be much rougher than skiing. Try riding it on a rigid bike if you disagree. We are limited by the traction of our tires and the ability of our suspension to absorb impacts. When a skier does a massive drop they're landing in 10 feet of powder. When Bender did the jah drop he landed in gravel and rag-dolled so hard he nearly broke in two, on a bike with 12 inches of travel. I think athletes are pushing both sports to their absolute edge, but I think the limiting factors in both are very different.

Riding Rigid is Ridiculous - Opinion
I think it's all about finding the right balance between affordability, reliability and fun. That's going to be different for everyone. For me a hardtail fits that balance nicely. I'm willing to spend the extra money and maintenance time on a suspension fork because it lets me ride a lot more terrain than I could with a rigid fork and have more fun doing it. For some people a rigid bike fits their needs perfectly and I can't fault them for that.
