FOR SALE: 1989 Trek 7000 20" Frame This bicycle is a museum piece! I bought it off the original owner who barely rode it and ALWAYS kept it stored indoors in his house. I knew upon seeing it that it wouldn't fit me (I usually ride an XL frame in Trek bikes), but I bought it anyway because I could not believe the condition. I just want to pass it along to an enthusiast or collector who can decide if they want to ride it. I would ride it sparingly, but at 6'3" it's too small for me. The geometry is quickened to a 71/73 design with shorter 16.9" stays. New forged head tube, forged drop outs, tapered stays and investment cast lugs drop the frame weight to 4.5 pounds. The rear brake cable switches to internal routing for the now-standard rear cantilever brakes. All is original on this bike except the grips and the saddle. The original owner installed a women's spring saddle on it, but his wife NEVER rode it. I installed an older SDG saddle that looks much better aesthetically. Otherwise, YES, EVERYTHING ELSE IS ORIGINAL: complete drivetrain, brakes, cables, handlebars, seat post, wheelset, even the tires!!! Trek Domane SL5 "Gravel" Bike in matte finish (cool shady gray has a greenish hue). I would classify this speedy bike as "gravel lite" due to the tire clearance being a max of 37c (specs say otherwise but you can run this size without any issues). Bike currently has 32c tires, and I've run 25c without issue. This was the first year Trek dipped their toes into the gravel bike category. The carbon frame with integrated Isospeed rubber inserts dampen some of the sting when traveling over rough road surfaces. Highlights include: * Carbon OCLV 500 series frame w/ front and rear Isospeed, E2 tapered head tube, BB90, flat mount disc brakes, hidden fender mounts, internal cable routing, 3S chain keeper, and Ride Tuned seat mast * 60cm (fits 6' - 6'4" as per Trek).
