Makes Fanny Fart's commentaries sound positively lively... someone give these two 5 cans of red bull and a caffeine suppository.

I guess they let their riding do most of the talking which is quite lively. That nac nac at :50 was sick. These guys have the track dialed!

Is it me, or do you think that everyone seems to set their cameras pointing at the ground too?
I get a stiff neck watching cos I'm trying to see farther up the track.

is it just me or was Laurie's visor going crazy on that playback! camera looked still but the peak was allover the place!

I think the video is stabilized in post-processing
  • 1 0
Yeah, it's the stabilizer on the Sony Action Cam

This made me sick. They should have turned it off and had a wider view (This mode takes a bit of view away) so that you could always see the rider in the front and not get a stiff neck. (In my opinion)

Great course preview. Track looks like fun, riding was clean. I had Claudio's voice in the back of my head narrating this. Lots of stoke with all the jumps

Laurie's from Bristol, and our west country accent sounds like that! they call it the bristol 'R' and if you listen to a lot of the scots you can see where the american accent came from?

leave the course preview to GoPro

Not much of line choices tho. That woods section could be amazing if they didn't make it a single line experience Frown

Did they just call Laurie Greenland a "helmet athlete?" What's a helmet athlete?
  • 3 0
I think he only uses a Fox helmet. His team has royal for their kit sponsor
  • 2 0
He doesn't weat Fox gear, only their helmets. He rides for Trek and Royal racing.

Looks like a really fun track. Way to shred it!

How come the helmet peak is flapping all over the place?
  • 1 0
actually the whole helmet was but the image stabilizer on action cam made the video look still.
  • 1 0
Eh? how can a helmet camera be independent of the helmet?
  • 4 0
The camera has digital image stabilization that narrows the camera angle from 170 to 120 so the image has room on the sides to move around and the camera itself has algorithm of some sort to keep the image on the centre and that is why it looks like the helmet or visor is moving although the image stays seemingly still. Here instagram.com/p/sXnmOhgydu/?modal=true is a video of mine where you can see my helmet and sunglasses moving although the video stays quite still. I use the Sony Action Cam. I think that the stabilisation works better on up and down than on side to side movement.
  • 3 2
that stabilization makes it look like it was shot at 10FPS

Didn't look smooth to me either , go-pro are still kings by the looks of it
