Looks amazing countryside. Never ridden one of there bikes, but if the greatest downhill rider there has ever been is riding for them then they must be doing something right.

 A bunch of **** since 1946

Bought a carbon 916 frame with the derailleur protector. The swingarm broke in half around one of the inserts for the protector screws. The protector barelly had a scratch on it.
I dont think its doing its job if instead of the derailleur being damaged the swingarm fails ... not the protector itself ... the swingarm.

They wouldnt warranty it.
Like its my fault their chinese labour makes shitty swingarms (one was already switched under warranty because there was a fault around the inserts for the breaks... very bad manufacturing.

a friend of mine had an x-control. that rocker right on top of the shock broke three times in less than two years. after the last one broke he got a new frame. but just because he knew the dealer personally. no warranty from lapierre themselves.

Didnt' know they've been making bikes for that long. Also heard mixed reviews about their frames (hence the comments...hehehe). Don't own one myself, but a friend has one, likes it a lot. No snapping....yet.

cannondale gets such a bad rep for no reason... fisher is made by trek so wouldn't be surprised but cannondale and lapierre make perfectly fine bikes

Its not exactly secret... it was an advertiser run story... what did people think was going to happen when everyone is repeated the same lines. Every brand has had failures...get over it already.

What part in my comment has anything to do with a brand ?

its not only about bike failures its about how companies deal with them
