On the way from Schladming to Morzine lies a hidden gem, a bike park among the mountains. We stopped off for 2 days to check out the newly opened bike park in the Austrian hills. We weren’t too sure what to expect as we’d never heard of this place before.

What motivates me to visit new bike parks is the fact that everyone is so keen and motivated, they have a fresh passion for the sport and want to see it grow. Thanks to Stefan at “ Bikepark Serfaus.Fiss.Ladis we were able to get in depth about the growth and ideas for the future of this park. He and his workmates are passionate and motivated mountain bikers with a love for the sport and a drive for growth within the mountain bike world.

They aim to build something special that riders from all levels can come and ride and enjoy. With a background in World Cup freestyle snowboarding and loads of experience travelling the world, he is the perfect fit for development and growth which he wants to provide in his bike park.

The bike park has around 6-7 builders working on and maintaining the tracks. They are open to ideas and cannot wait to expand. As soon as a problem or incident arises they are on hand to learn the exact cause and make the bike park better and safer for everyone.

The first tracks we rode were the red level options. They were fast and flowing with decent sized jumps for anyone. The turns had good flow and the tracks were smooth. Great for warming up or having fun with your friends. The style of track was also beginner friendly where you could learn to corner or jump for the first time or even have a go at down hilling.

Without hesitating we went straight to the black level trails. They are a big change from the bike park ones with black greasy dirt and roots the whole way down. It was a slip and slide to get down through and around the turns. With well built wooden features that had chicken wire for grip it was an awesome track to ride. I had heaps of fun riding the stubborn rooty trails.

At the bottom of the lift you can order a burger and break for lunch. If you have a hardtail or kids there is a great pump track and jumps set up at the bottom for any level of rider. The great thing about this park is that they encourage young kids to ride.

I really enjoyed our stopover at the Serfaus.Fiss.Ladis Bike park, the atmosphere was great and the riding super fun. This bike park is great for any level rider and family friendly too. I would go back in a moment. Thank you for having us!
