Mountain creek Waterpark used to be called Action Park back in the day. For a seriously good laugh read this wiki entry about it, I was injured there many times in the late 80's - early 90's.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 9:13)
That was a good read...The good old days..awesome!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 10:17)
''one seriously inebriated rider had to be rescued by the attendant lifeguard after his boat capsized following a collision'' LOL
(Dec 6, 2012 at 11:18)
"Six people are known to have died directly or indirectly from rides at Action Park" They don't build them like that anymore LMAO
(Dec 6, 2012 at 11:47)
A waterslide with a lopp?!! LOL!!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 12:04)
Everyone next summer is going to be like "WTF?!" when they see the bike tracks all along the sidewall haha.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 12:08)
"The speed at which riders met the end resulted in many getting wedgies and enemas from the experience."
(Dec 6, 2012 at 14:22)
"A stick that was supposed to control speed led, in practice, to just two options on the infrequently maintained vehicles: extremely slow, and a speed described by one former employee as "death awaits."" LOL!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 14:30)
action park was a really dangerous place... my mom was there one time when she was younger and saw a person go to the hospital after messing up their arm by getting caught in a net
(Dec 6, 2012 at 15:47)
In reference to the slide with a complete vertical loop: "One worker told a local newspaper that "there were too many bloody noses and back injuries" from riders, and it was widely rumored, and reported in Weird NJ, that some of the test dummies sent down before it was opened had been dismembered." I'd try it..not sober though.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 16:04)
"employees knew how to circumvent the governors and were known to do so for parkgoers. As a result, a standard small-engine car ride became a chance to play bumper cars at 80 km/h, and many injuries resulted from head-on collisions." sounds amazing!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 18:37)
While I was watching this video I was thinking to myself, "man it sure seems like a lot of liability letting these bikers ride the empty water slides"...then I read the Wikipedia article, dear god
"Former employee Tom Fergus says the bottom of the pool was eventually painted white to make it easier to spot any bodies on the bottom"
(Dec 6, 2012 at 19:02)
It's brutal how almost everything in there was so dangerous it got closed! "a fatal heart attack suffered by one visitor was unofficially believed to have been triggered by the shock of the cold water in the pool beneath the Tarzan Swing" what was up with the tidal wave pool?
(Dec 6, 2012 at 22:20)
I`m surpised nobody got hurt.. According to the tradition...
(Dec 7, 2012 at 10:12)
"Super Speedboats: These were set up in a small pond, known by staff to be heavily infested with snakes. They were supposed to be driven around a small island in the middle at 35-40 mph (56–64 km/h). While, unlike the land vehicles, there was no way to tamper with them and increase their speed, many riders nonetheless used them to play bumper boat, and one seriously inebriated rider had to be rescued by the attendant lifeguard after his boat capsized following a collision."
On July 24, 1982, a 15-year-old boy drowned in the Tidal Wave Pool.
Tidal wave pool? Seems legit.

(Dec 6, 2012 at 12:41)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 9:41)
I thought this would be way cooler than it was...
(Dec 6, 2012 at 1:55)
sweet vid, why oh why don't cannondale make the chase frame anymore? it was so sick and looked so clean, I'd buy another one in an instant!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 3:39)
Maybe the sales were too small to keep it in the catalog?
(Dec 6, 2012 at 12:22)
I believe it might have had something to do with the atrociously bad geometry of the frame.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 18:01)
Chase has some custom version though. Remember reading about it...
(Dec 9, 2012 at 4:19)
it was wierd at first but once I got used to it it rode amazingly, could hop so high and jump so well on it plus it manualed amazingly, loved my chase
(Dec 6, 2012 at 9:19)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 19:53)
Kinda boring edit... But hey, looked like a hell of a lot of fun! Also, great to see Adam back shredding, nice to see his knee is staying together!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 2:00)
if you would do this in switzerland, you would be killed by the owner.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 8:22)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 14:09)
(Dec 6, 2012 at 14:26)
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:38)
This should of been Chase vs Adam.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 17:03)
Luckily I live two minutes away from this mecca of a resort/bike park!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:33)
Pretty creative going down that slide!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:02)
1:34 that kids gonna shred one day
(Dec 6, 2012 at 9:14)
I'm surprised they let her near GR with that stache
(Dec 9, 2012 at 8:39)
This is a better edit of the footage. IMO
(Dec 6, 2012 at 5:32)
It was cool. But i have never seen chase ride with such little flow.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:07)
It looks super slippery in spots with tight, kinked transitions. I doubt they think this is their best riding, they are just messing around in the off season at an amusement park riding something that is not at all meant for bikes. Classic New Jersey with pizza delivery to the session.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 8:11)
i know theyre just messing around and its slick and everything but i just thought that was poor for them, everything seeming stiff and unconnected
(Dec 6, 2012 at 18:18)
I agree it was not super exciting.. but the riders were tasked with basically making something out of nothing. That concrete looked bumpy as hell with a thick layer of grease on it... most of us probably couldn't even get down it on a hardtail.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:43)
Always wanted to try that in Bromont ! Cool Vid !
(Dec 7, 2012 at 1:59)
i wont to go and ride that place! it looks so sick!!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 1:52)
Love the song.
(Dec 8, 2012 at 10:29)
(Dec 6, 2012 at 19:13)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 3:38)
Just sick! Faved for sure!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 11:07)
Slip and slide like a pro. Great vid!
(Dec 6, 2012 at 3:26)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 2:53)

(Dec 6, 2012 at 8:21)
(Dec 6, 2012 at 7:37)
That was awesome!
(Dec 10, 2012 at 20:19)
Wow that was lame.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 9:35)
what a crummy job to have - riding in an empty water park for promotional purposes. Who would ever want to do that?
(Dec 6, 2012 at 6:00)
Below threshold threads are hidden
(Dec 6, 2012 at 5:47)
Worst song ever.
(Dec 6, 2012 at 6:02)
If that video was my Christmas present from PB- I hope they kept the receipt.
