Shout out the all sand baggers that were in cat 2/3 pulling domestic pro times lol
  • + 5
Was it the same course? I thought pro course was usually a bit different?
honestly, that's pretty rad if it was the same course for everyone!

Sandbaggers - The devours of dreams of those who are not quite good enough.
  • + 3
 @pdb18: same course man
  • + 3
Shout out to the UCI guys that forced me into cat 2 and told me that I couldn't race cat 1 even though I did at Windrock lol
  • - 2
@Ddauenheimer: "forced" lmao what they held a gun to your head?
  • + 2
@610slayter: He probably didn't have his license/membership needed for CAT 1 like in most race series....
  • + 2
@610slayter: Yup. They messed up my cat change before Windrock. Never went through apparently.
  • + 4
USA : more racing categories than racers
  • + 2
@zede: It's so stupid, and making Cat1 exclusive is even dumber.
  • + 7
@Ddauenheimer: It was the USAC guys, I'm sure. They really have no clue as to what our great sport is all about.
  • - 1
@scott-townes: I mean if I was a "racer" planing on racing cat1 all year I probably would have gotten everything I needed to do so before the season started but thats just me I guess??

Dakotah, is the real deal - he'll be (already is) the best American MTBer out there aside from Gwin. I predict he'll be a regular podium personality at the WC's.
  • + 14
I think Charlie Harrison is giving Dak a run for his money on that title with his podium at maribor! Either way so rad to see the USA getting back to the sharp end of the sport. Although I am not a fan of Gwin going to these races and practicing but not racing

 Ever heard of Luca Shaw?
  • + 8
@Motoracer31 gwin reportedly got an ankle injury in his seeding run. it was on the last jump when he landed his crank arm broke.

"Aaron Gwin, who seeded 2nd on Saturday, reportedly sustained an ankle injury and did not compete in Sunday's race."
  • + 9
I am just stoked that we have a lot of talent coming from the US that can get podiums at WC.
  • + 2
@femto505: True - this crop of new young guys is very strong.

looks pretty bad, plus AG is silent on social media. Doesn't look good as Fort Bill is only two weeks away...
  • + 4
@hamncheez: His Instagram story post from about 4 hours ago had him working out at the gym.
  • + 9
anyone saw Bruce's kleins gap in the rock garden?!
  • + 4
 Yup, straight up boss
  • + 1
 sick AF
  • + 7
 Where's your helmet, George?
  • + 2
Maybe he polished it too vigorously and it dropped off
  • + 2
I snapped e13s just like he did. Their carbon stuff is junk, lg1+ aluminum isn't bad. He was hurting after it. And Klein and Walker Shaw pulling that rock triple was sick af, even though Kleins the only one who did it in the race run!

I have a year of abuse on my Lg1r carbons and they are doing great, even after numerous rock smashes. Doing better than the XO1 crank I broke! I think E13 stepped up their carbon game a lot in the last year or so. My wheels are tough as nails too. Broken other carbon hoops but so far not these...
  • + 1
Zero issues on my TRS Race carbon cranks despite countless high speed crank smashes off rocks. I've broken several other carbon cranks from another brand, but nothing but solid feedback for my E13 stuff. Considering AG hand picked the brands supporting his team, do you really think he'd pick something he didn't fully trust if it potentially would affect his results? Everything breaks if you're pushing hard enough.

Cool that they posted the Cat1/2/3 results,

I would guess the finish line was about 50 to 75 yards away from the last jump/drop. If Gwin was only 1.5 seconds back, I wonder what his time would have been if he pedaled all the way across the line.

Heck yeah Caroline and Nathan....NC RAMFB...Slay
  • + 2
 Went to Jungle Habitat instead.
  • + 1
 Ankle injury, no race run.
  • + 1
 What happened to gwin?
  • + 5
Word on the street is that he has sustained an ankle injury due to snapping his crank in his seeding run so he didn't do his race run. No word on if it is a serious injury or not yet.

Results from recent testing just came back and Gwin tested positive for being just a tad too stinky.
  • + 5
Wierd that has gone social media silent. Thinking he must be hurt.
  • + 2
@Jack20: That was my first thought. Even in down times he's posting positive updates. May be a bit more serious?
  • + 10
@chriskneeland: breaking his own branded parts probably isn't high on his list of things to advertise.
  • + 0
His cranks aren't branded his own. Ever watch vital raws? See how many cranks snaping are e-13. @yzedf:
  • + 11
@freeridejerk888: I've seen so many broken carbon DH cranks. I don't know why anyone would want to risk running them. It's not worth the 200g weight savings.
  • + 1
Considering his most recent Instagram post with him at the gym, I am guessing he is just fine. Who knows, maybe he just wanted to get dialed in with the Fox guys and, once that was done, he wanted to get an earlier flight home.
  • + 3
Here is a video of what happened:,2/World-Cup-Downhill-MTB-Race-Talk,10517?page=4#post_41563

I can't believe he rides carbon cranks, and from ethirteen nonetheless. Their cranks are awful.
  • + 2
 @jwrendenver: e thirteen sucks
  • + 1
I had to saw the spindle in half to get the E.13 cranks off my bike. Should have tried Gwin's method- much faster.
  • + 3
@chriskneeland: ......only 64g lighter than their alu DH crank. Why?
