Ounasvaara Finland Trek Enduro Series Round 3 2014

Coming back after the summer break. The third round heading into The Arctic Circle to Ounasvaara, Rovaniemi. This is 823 km north from Helsinki and the official home of Santa. The 96 Competitors would not have the time to visit him over the course of the weekend as the race required 100% focus. Even knowing the track conditions had improved with the warmer weather that Finland is having at the moment. Mud that was pushed out of the holes in yesterdays practice was creating a new change for riders. The track has gone from being wet yesterday to tacky and dry. It didn't mean that the stages were any less forgiving. The roughness and technical parts on the course was taking its toll on the tired rider in the later stages of the race. The next race will be held in Sappee 23-24th of August.
