Game of BIKE for the kids during Lockdown

This is photo-shopped badly on purpose We actually played the game separately at home

We were utterly disappointed to cancel the last session of the block due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but we’re making the most of the situation by bringing Kids Club to you via the wonders of modern technology!

Even though we’re in three different places around the country, we still managed to play a game of BIKE remotely by recording each of our attempts at a list of challenges. There are normally two sessions for Kids Club; one in the morning for Juniors (roughly 5-9 years old) and one in the afternoon for the Youth (roughly 10-15 years old). We’ve created a video for each group in the hope that you can play along at home…

The first video (JUNIOR) is fairly basic:
1. Kit-dressing challenge - put on your bike equipment (knee pads, gloves, helmet & shoes - laces tied) and get ready to play!
2. Figure of Eight - perform a full figure of eight in attack position.
3. Figure of Eight (boost) - sat down, with one hand off the whole way round.
4. Stop Box - stop in the 2 bike-length box and pedal away.
5. Stop Box (boost) - stop in the box and touch your helmet with each hand and pedal away.
6. Skinny - ride the wooden plank or outline with stones/sticks, two adult hands wide, one bike long.
7. Skinny (boost) - 5x full spins before the same skinny challenge above.
8. Ride-by-vault - standing on the saddle with both feet and ride past.
9. Ride-by-hydration - pick up a water bottle, have a drink and put it back.
10. Pedalling in space - lie down on your back and ride upside down!

The second video (YOUTH) is more advanced:
1. Trackstand comp - how many times can you touch your helmet with each hand in 10 seconds?
2. Upside down - pedalling in space!
3. Upside down - throw your bars away and clap your hands.
4. Ride-by-hydration - pick up the bottle from the ground, take a drink and put it back safely.
5. Rolling Superman - hold a plank with feet straight off the back.
6. Wheelie practice - wheelie off the back and jump back one movement.
7. Wavey wheelie - wave to the camera and continue the wheelie!
8. Rotate - hop a full 360 on the spot in as few hops as possible.
9. Side hops - side hop over a stick and back again.
10. Back hops - how many hops on the back wheel can you do?
11. Endo challenge - 180º endo.

You can play along too!

Let us know your scores in the comments (first tries only!) or tag us in your social media posts attempting the challenges – we love to see you enjoying riding bikes!

Make the most of lockdown and record your own challenge and send it to your friends, or better yet, challenge us! Spread the home-bike love - sharing the video with others is much appreciated and will help us to make more videos.

Enjoy the videos and stay safe - No Car, No Gnar and NOT FAR!
