Review: Shimano's XT 12-Speed Drivetrain is Smart Money
@cool3: For sure. If you've got the cash for the initial investment and want a dream build, then may as well swing for the fences and throw down. But if you are trying to build something solid on a budget, then spend the extra money on a better wheelset or suspension components. 190g at the cranks isn't going to be too noticable. For me, I'd rather save the $325 since I can't tell the difference in performance between the two cranksets.

Review: Shimano's XT 12-Speed Drivetrain is Smart Money
This is exactly what I did on my new build; SLX everything (including 4-pot brakes) with an XT shifter. I also went with the 10-45 cassette to test out the "rhythm step" (coming from a 1x10 with 11-36 cassette), but may buy an XT 10-51 to have on hand for really big days. Bigger range with no weight penalty.

Video: Brandon Semenuk & His DH Bike in 'Act.I'
Disclaimer: Hot take below. Why is it that everybody rags on Gwin for being "Mr. Serious", yet bows down to all thing Semenuk when I think I've seen him smile even fewer times then Gwin (in fact, has he ever smiled?) Same goes for the likes of Sam Hill and to a lesser extent Danny Hart. Those guys are on the serious side of the spectrum, and yet we gush over their performances while being quick to bash Gwin for "lacking personality" and "not having any fun". I am also guilty of this; just interesting how we like to pick and choose while being overly critical of these professional athletes. But yes, this edit is sick and way too short. I want more Semenuk ripping rowdy PNW singletrack.

Bike Evolution: Rocky Mountain's Slayer from 2001 to Today
Man, I remember drooling over the first gen Slayer back in the day. I was riding a Schwinn Moab 3 and was dying to upgrade to that sweet dual suspension bike with a badass metallic paintjob. Unfortunately, 15 year old me wasn't good enough at saving my Wendy's salary to make that dream come true...

First Look: IXS Trigger FF - The World's Lightest Full Face MTB Helmet
@ImAManCheetah88: you should have never let your helmet get into the hands of those crazy Fins... those long winters really lend themselves to heavy drinking and questionable decision making
