Starting from Massa you can also do a very good cyclotourism/bikepacking experience, passing by Via Francigena pointing south: it's an old pilgrimage route. I did it myself twice with my soon-to-be wife and friends, one in spring and the other during summer. In 4 days you can easily reach Siena but the original route is greatly larger than this tract (it starts from UK!!). Anyway, Tuscany what a beautiful place and people and food...

@Fusilcontrafusil: Whaahahahha, the only thing I can say is that the words of the "thrower" have some similitudes with "porcodio". Here in Bergamo/north-east of Italy we use a lot of those "against-christian-gods yelling"

I'm from Bergamo, the Piazzatorre county: I was there on this trial 1 month ago, and I can confirm: it's one of the gnarliest shit I ever did on my bike... Obviously I did the trail at something like 1/4th of the speed of those sic guys in the vid.
