Morning qualies action at the 2014 Sea Otter Dual Slalom.
Cody Kelley trains with Mitch Ropeleto, and it shows. The kid's quicker than Tippie's tongue.
Mikey Haderer, came in on the short bus, but left on the fast track. This comment was all Tippie. I have no clue what that means.
"Mikey Day, if he were still racing on 20" wheels, he'd BMX-ican!" - Tippie again.
Paul Bas, pumping out first place in the Pump Track Challenge.
Noon hour antics and bike giveaways at the PB tent.

Kevin Aiello, was looking like he could be a contender, but the competition was just too fierce.
Logan Binggeli has made a miraculous recovery from having broken his femur at last year's Red Bull Rampage.
The course was dusty and loose, as were the riders.
Cam Zink just didn't have the legs today to podium.
Cody Kelley, eighteen years old and the pride of Salt Lake City.
They're here every year. Wouldn't be Sea Otter without you. You know who you are.

Head to head combat in the finals. Had two 'mericans...Cody Kelley and Kyle Strait. Both winners.
Cody Kelley.

Kyle came here to win, and all was going according to plan 'til turn two of the last run of the finals. Kyle made a critical mistake on the second corner and that's all she wrote. That's racing.

Night for day at Sea Otter 2014.
Nightime celebrations and joke time with Tippie in parking lot H.
UCI/USA Cycling.... BRING BACK SLALOM! Perfect spectator event: Its fast, exciting, the crowd can see the whole course. Skiing still has it. Why isn't it still ran at major events other than Sea Otter is utterly ridiculous
USAC doesn't care a whit. If independent promoters fill races and it gets popular THEN they will see an opportunity and jump in. They won't get involved to promote DS or any other format unless it's already happening and already popular.
i no some u may hate, but what i like about DAUL SLALOM, BACK when it was big,was no practice just run it on yo skills and the gates mattered,no groomey corner just big ass rocks to bank off,and the moto style gate drop was cool, but the ski start was cool too,but now i'll take any style just bringer back, all the new kids love it,so some one please start it.
Watching the dual slalom yesterday was incredible! It definitely made my trip to Sea Otter worthwhile. Big bear should put in a dual slalom course down summit run! it would be awesome!
