Yannik Granieri. Heading up for one last practice run.

photo
  Messere and Semenuk.

photo
With the competition just minutes away the vibe was all business.

photo
  Even Pilgrim wasn't smiling.

cwx
"Hey Dad, can I borrow a hundred K to go shoot this years' Slopestyle?...Sure son, wallet's on the kitchen table." Can't tell you how many kids had one of these propped on their shoulders.

photo
Geoff Gullevich consoling Casey Groves after hearing about probably the worst news you could hear. Our hearts are all with you and your family Casey...keep on given'r bro.

photo
With just minutes to go...last second entry Tyler McCaul had to frantically fix a flat before being first one down the course. I'd be sweating too.

photo
That didn't stop him from stomping a huge tailwhip to open the Slopestyle.

photo
  Sam Dueck.

photo
I love how the sign is made with the packaging from a two-four of beer.

photo
Brett Rheeder...this guy got really good, really fast.

photo
Yannik Granieri...yea it's out of focus, but who gives a shit.

photo
Gully...looking solid all the way down...

photo
...but just missing out on placing top six.

photo
  Anthony Messere...you front-flipping, crazy-ass mo' fo'.

photo
Semenuk's style starts where other's stops.

photo
photo
Tyler McCaul...looking pretty relaxed for riding off the couch.

photo
photo
The wind was playing havoc on a lot of riders. Tippie...feeling their pain.

cwx
The crowds were feeling their pain too...

photo
photo
photo
The photogs were just hoping someone makes it all the way down the course.

photo
Messere...giving the people what they needed, even after crashing higher up on this run. That's Pro.

photo
Casey Groves...sixth place. Under the circumstances he was riding with, he takes the cake as most inspirational rider.

photo
Martin Soderstrom...solid all the way through...

photo
...until this last ditch double whip attempt off the shack.

photo
photo
  Probably cost him the win.

photo
  Thomas Genon.

photo
Holding it down for the win.

cwx
  Yea budday!

photo
  Soderstrom...stoked with second.

photo
  Cam is back!...Third place.

photo
photo
  That's all folks!...

photo
  Time to party.

And if you missed Pinkbike's video from the event...

and he had a chance at first! who knows what he would have pulled out of the bag on the bottom if he had kept his run going after the double whip!

Let's be honest, have any of you heard of Thomas Genon? I haven't untill now.
  • 4 0
I saw him at bearclaw so he wasn't just this random guy lol

Yeah, Thomas absolutely bombed himself on the top of the podium from out of nowhere. BUT, Cam is a legend, he's in this sport for something like 8-9 years or so? Let's be honest, age is a major factor in this sport, especially when almost all of his competition is much younger than him. Also he's been out for a while now with an injury, and this is a blistering comeback from him! Smile

Sweet writeup/photos. Pinkbike killed it with coverage of Crankworx, video is top notch!

Probably one of the most epic Crankworx to date, from the 60 footer to the unpredictable top 3 winners, Amazing.

I think that crankworx was epic and joyride course was amazing but i was actually a little disappointed with the contest itself a lot of people crashed out and i wish i could of saw more full runs.

They really need to stop holding comps in the wind. I know it's not a possibility most of the time, but a lot of the events this year haven't been 100% due to wind.

Great coverage of Joyride, was stoked I could watch it live.... Results were great, am sure none of us would have predicted the places in the end.... A ripping great course....

haha genon was SOOOO close to crashing that 360 off the cabin. he must be pretty stoked that he held on!

He completely destroyed his wheel when he landed. At the end of the vid you see him roll down with a taco'd wheel and the tyre is rolling off.
  • 6 0
I was there, when he landed his tire exploded and it sounded like someone fired a gun! Soooo crazy!
