Stan's Arch MK3 Rim - Review
Why anyone would put a set of carbon rims on their bikes instead of these is totally beyond me. These are cheaper and will certainly take more of a beating and last longer. It's a total no brainer.

HSBC UK National Downhill Series Rd1 Presented by GT Bicycles - Video
@jaame: Get a grip Jamie. My comment is not sexist at all. I am just disappointed that the women's category is so slim with such a lack of tight and close competition. I'm sure Rachel Atherton would love to have a big field of closely matched competitors and come out on top to become the best of the best. Competition is good for everyone, male and female!!

Ask Pinkbike: Carbon or Aluminum, Norco Sight or Optic?
And the brain washing about carbon fibre continues......Thank you but I will always stick to steel or aluminium for my bikes.

The gap between 1st and 3rd in Elite women is shocking. This sport needs to attract far more women who can actually compete with each other. Not just a forgone conclusion all the time.

Production Privée's Steel Full-Suspension Bike Might Last Forever - Taipei Cycle Show
Nice to see that steel isn't dead. Fed up of seeing glorified plastic frames and bits everywhere so this is a breath of old school fresh air.

Neck Braces - Should You Be Wearing One?
I wore a neck brace for a while and found it a complete distraction while riding. This made me get rid of it as I actually found it more dangerous getting distracted by my brace than concentrating on where i was going. I've seen a few comments comparing it to a Hans device. Hans devices work in a completely different way and are in no way a distraction and are compulsory in the vast majority of FIA motorsports events. These are proven to actually work. Least neck braces aren't, we are only told that the work from the people who make them and the people in the comments. What a lot of people haven't thought of in terms of braces is what I call "jumping on the bandwagon". For example when dropper posts first came out every bike component manufacturer worth their salt made their own. This never happened with neck braces... Why is that? I have been told from a very good source that a major company who makes protective gear did their own research into neck braces and found that could cause more severe injury than they could prevent so they didn't want to put their name to their own product if that was the case. This lack of other manufacturers making them has always worried me.

@PhillipJ: oh. That explains it then. Thanks. It's a shame that is the case. If it used a trigger shifter it would sell a lot better
