Kasper Dean recently moved up to Bellingham to attend the university. Aside from school, he was looking forward to the year-round, world-renowned riding. It turned out to be a disappointing winter, to say the least with above average snowfall and freezing conditions.
Typically the low land trails in the Bellingham area are in good shape throughout the colder months but this year the weather hit hard leaving the region with some longer lasting, low elevation snow.
Desperate to go ride dry dirt, we packed up the bikes, DSLRs, and the dad-cam the moment classes ended and made the drive south to California for spring break.
Although still wetter and cooler than usual, California felt like summer in contrast to the Pacific Northwest. It provided Kasper a good week of laps with the boys getting comfortable on the bikes before the race season gets into full swing.
“I have never been more relieved for winter to end than I have this year. Cali provided the goods and got me stoked for summer and the upcoming race season!” - Kasper
