Sooooo change the name if there's no boat.... I mean, they didn't even get creative with the boat idea, two barges? Jumps back and forth across a water gap? I mean, if you're goin to step it up at least keep the water aspect, that was the cool part!!

Biking and golf are two amazing sports - I've always thought that golf courses would suit a slopestyle event if it's in the right valley area. Nice easy access for spectating and enjoying a comfortable atmosphere where guys can still throw it big is win win to me! Interesting location - diggin it!

it is, however since the jumps were massive no one wanted to ride it on a hard tail or a slope bike... lots of people cased haha.

Suspension is mainly good for absorbing bumps so you can go faster, but less necessarry for absorbing impacts as most full-suspension riders think.
Unless you go Rampage style big of course.
Yes these jumps are massive, but these are also nothing bigger than the jumps at many BMX events.

Still, it looks like it was a great event and I would love to shred down that course myself. Looks like a lot of fun!

What some of you may not remember - Bear Mountain golf course used to be one of the best places to ride on Vancouver Island - we called it the Highlands, it was 45 min ride from my house in Victoria. They completely destroyed huge numbers of amazing trails to build a stupid F***ing golf course and condos for all the ancient and rich seniors - not to mention making many uneducated real estate agents rich in the process.
