Review: Kali's Maya 2.0 Helmet is Even Better Than The Original
I have a largish head too and found that the L/XL fits just fine. Took a chance and ordered a 1.0 on line which fit better than any other helmet I've ever had on...probably just dumb luck. I liked the helmet enough that I recently purchased a 2.0. I don't know if there were any real changes to the helmet mold and it may be my imagination, but it feels like it fits even better...solidly on, no sliding around, secure. If it fits (and that's the most important part of choosing a helmet IMO) than I would recommend 10/10. I like Kali as a company. They seem straight shooting, back up their products/ technology with solid evidence, and don't use a lot of marketing jingo BS.

Cal Poly Steel Downhill Bike - NAHBS 2019
Designed and built in high detail with input from 21 Cal Poly students. Many of whom are future engineers and they finish it up using hand twisted wire cable retainers. Were they going for "ironic"? ....nice looking bike.

Performance to Close All Remaining Stores, Over 95 ASE Employees Laid Off
I scored some incredible deals from Price Point. But yeah, the customer service either really sucked or didn't exist at all. It got really ugly when they were doing their going out of business sales. Shit was being liquidated dirt cheap but they were charging full-on shipping. I ordered three sets of wheels that were steeply marked down. They only sent the one that was in in stock and charged me for shipping for all three wheels. Obviously they didn't give a shit at that point because when I tried to get a refund for the shipping portion that they had overcharged, it didn't happen. It was a fun site though because they had a lot of esoteric parts and pieces listed. Caveat emptor to the customer though because just because it was listed on the web site didn't actually mean it was in stock. Always a bit sketchy, but that really was part of the experience. I suggest Blue Sky Cycling or Cambria Bike if you miss and still want to feel that sketchy experience.

Using Downhill Racing to Recover from Serious Health Problems
Anecdotally, years ago a friend of mine wound up in the ER with symptoms consistent with meningitis (acute migraines, headaches at the base of his skull, fatigue, etc.). Had the whole work up including lumbar puncture. They were unable to determine the cause of his ailments. He was a very active guy and not a complainer at all. Ultimately his doctor told him to try to resume his life as normally as he could and he found that the only relief he could find was through being physically active. Running was his thing at the time. Having had multiple significant injuries myself, I concur with the notion that physical activity is the most effective means of dealing with pain. That's a common theme too with healthcare providers as well, though most patients don't optimally do what they should to recover.
