First Ride: Pivot's New Firebird 29
The one size fits all chainstay's is one of the most overlooked, corner cutting, cheap bastard moves from the bike industry.

Mountain Biking's Troubled Roots & the Hope in Marin County
I was born in and have lived in Marin most of my life, and I couldn't disagree with you more! Mountain biking is not a crime! For some reason we are treated like the scum of the earth all across the Bay Area? I'm sure your favorite trails are illegal... Do you have children? Do you teach them to follow all the rules (laws), and not just the ones you agree with? You shouldn't get yelled at and cursed at for riding a bike in the woods, but it has happened to me dozens of times, in Marin and the greater Bay Area.

Review: NX Eagle - SRAM's New Affordable 12-Speed Drivetrain
I wish I was a little surprised at how excited the PBers are for NX Eagle... If somebody needs a 50t because they are struggling on the steep climbs, the last thing they need is to add a 615g cassette to the rear wheel. If you mix and match with gx, xx1 or whatever you still need the XD driver and a bunch of cash. What is the obsession with 1x12?

5 Men's Kits Tested - 2018 Summer Gear Guide
I'm enjoying that 3 out of the 5 kits are not plastered with ridiculous graphics or catch phrases. Save that sh*t for the youth sizes. 7mesh should not call that shirt a merino henley... It's not even 50% merino and they want $80, oh but the other 2 colors are 40% off. I wonder why?

Review: MRP Ribbon Coil Fork
@necros: If one is not all that experienced or mechanically inclined, I would stay away from bleeding your brakes or even dropping your lowers. Its not complicated, but having brakes full of air has real world consequences. Effing up a $1000 fork is easier than you think if you are clueless. With basic mechanical skills, a few special tools, the ability to learn from an instructional video and a little confidence, it's a piece of cake.
