After shredding the famous euro dirt jump sport La Poma in their last episode the Samsons were keen to build up the big bikes and shred some dusty trails. See the blog from episode three HERE.

La Molina Bike Park is just a two hour journey from Barcelona and the drive takes you down some pretty epic windy roads.

"We're super high up, there's still snow on the mountains even though it's 27 degrees!" - Blake Samson

After building up the bikes we met up with Jaumes, the man behind Rumble Bikes, Saracens distributer in Spain.

"We couldn't ask for a more helpful guy, he sorted us out with lift passes, a place to say. We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us out." - Ray Samson.

The guys were kean to get in a few laps around the park, "it's a recce" they said, I'm pretty sure they were just stoked to ride the bike park, but just a few hours later they came back explaining they had found some sick stuff to shoot.

"I wanted to ride this place so much, I've never ridden something like this before so I was stoked to get on the big bike and send it down the mountain" - Blake Samson

The dusty trails were riding fast, but the wind was out of control, the two brothers would ride down then I'd have to jump to block the cloud of dust that followed them before it covered my camera.

Non the less the brothers were loving every second of it.. The main trail was a real blast, made up of wide open rocky traverse at the top with some stunning views, the trail then leads down into the woods where the track tightens up and has a few technical sections to overcome.

"It was so fun just smashing berms and hitting up all the rock and root gardens, following Blake meant I could barely see anything!" - Ray Samson

After a long days shooting in the park we made our way to the bottom where we prepared for a cold night camping in the mountains. Luckily Jaumes was waiting for us in his Rumble Bikes shop located at the foot of the mountain, he was so helpful and friendly, letting us stay in his apartment and even hosted us for some food at a local restaurant. Like at La Poma we have been greeted by nothing but friendly faces and been offered a helping hand at every step of the journey.

Cheers Jaumes

The next day we headed to some secret dirt jumps in the mountains. Local shredder Joan Carles invited us and he was stoked to have Blake & Ray come and ride with him and his buddies.

"We pulled up right in front of it and we were blown away! We thought it was just going to be one jump but there was so much more!" - Blake Samson

The views were epic and the jumps were running well.

"We had a sweet BBQ with the locals in the evening to round up the trip, of course we caught the fish in a local river.. Cough.. Cough." - Ray Samson

And that concluded our epic adventure to Catalonia. A short flight home and we were back in a rainy England dreaming of those sweet dusty Spanish trails. Thanks for checking out the blog, for more please check out Live To Ride on Facebook.

can't believe he's keeping up on a DMR bolt either... they're capable bikes but following someone on a 200mm DH bike with it? no wonder they get a bit drifty
