Octane One Prone

$1250 CAD
Octane One - Prone 29" - trail bike This hardcore hardtail has earned rave reviews for its up-to-date frame geometry, balanced and responsive feel, solid construction and light weight. The frame alone shaves up to 2 lbs off from most steel hardtails! A seriously fun, fast and capable rig suitable for beginners or advanced riders, or anyone looking to put their full-suspension bike away for the winter and save maintenance on their pivots and shock. I bought the frame last year and build it up with lots of new parts! (The frame alone has less than 20 hrs of riding on it). There are no functional or mechanical issues and it needs nothing. Specifications: Frame: Size "Medium" or 18" in Black - 6061 Aluminum HA: 66.5, SA: 74, reach: 435 - "long, low, slack" Fork: RockShox Recon RL Gold 120 MM- fresh rebuild (new oil and seals with about 20 hrs of riding) Stem: Gravity Gap 60MM Handlebars: Spank Oozy 762 mm, brand new RaceFace love handle grips Dropper: Giant Contact SL 100 MM drop, recently rebuilt and new cable + housing - smooth! Wheels: Stans Arch EX rims (decals removed) laced to Hope Pro 2 Hubs - 20 MM front axle, 12 x 142 MM rear Tires: Front - Maxxis Minion EXO TR 2.3, Rear - Maxxis Aggressor EXO TR 2.3 - Tires are set-up tubeless - 90% tread left on both (20 hrs of riding) Headset: New Cane Creek 40 Brakes: Shimano Deore M6000's with new Shimano Deore XT Rotors (160 mm rear, 180 MM front) - fresh pads and fresh brake bleed! Crank: SLX 175 MM, BlackSpire Snaggletooth 32T ring (20 hrs of riding) Shifter: Shimano XT 10 speed Chain: Shimano XT (20 hrs of riding) Cassette: SunRace 11 - 40, 10 speed 20 hrs of riding) Rear Derailleur: Shimano SLX with Wolftooth Goatlink upgrade, brand new pulleys! Bottom Bracket: Shimano XT BSA 73 MM (yes, threaded BB) brand new! Does not include pedals. Frame geo chart: https://octane-one.com/bike/prone-hardtail-trail-29/

4 Affordable Trail Bike Forks Ridden & Rated
While I'm grateful of a performance review of the more 'affordable' line of suspension forks, it would be great the review included a comparison on the level of ease and cost associated with changing travel on these forks.

GT 29er Hardtail Frame

$120 CAD
GT Karakoram (2015), frame only. Size Medium. Comes with seat post clamp and fsa headset. 6061 T6 heat treated aluminum. Seat diameter is 30.9, 135mm quick release rear spacing and threaded BB. Disc brake only. No issues, cracks or dents - just a few scratches from use. This bike helped me get back into mountain biking after a long hiatus. Perfect frame to build up a bike packing rig (includes rack mounts and two water bottle mounts) or a decent trail bike with a 120 mm travel fork.

Video: Road Tripping Through the Balkan States
Disrespect towards the vulnerable and poor pisses me off. I think that part was supposed to be funny, and might be to a lot of people. It actually made me sad because it was such an uncompassionate response and it actually makes you guys seem like a bunch of douchbags that are out of touch with reality. The point is this: you guys are travelling, visiting countries, riding mountain bikes and drinking beer, right? YOU are the fortunate ones and you DO have more money. If that was a weekday, that girl probably wasn't in school because her parents force her to sell goods on the street. Next time something like this happens, particularly in a country that is more disadvantaged and has even gone through a recent war, I hope you reflect on what you will do. By the way your taste in music sucks. Grow the fuck up.
