Practise The Megavalanche's Snow With Nukeproof Staff and Athletes

Just over a week until the start of the Megavalanche. Nukeproof are proud to return as a sponsor and will be there on the hill with a team of our athletes.


Last year as part of the festival of all things gravity, we ran a mini ride out to Oz (read the article here) with our staff and athletes. This year as part of our return to the Mega, we running "DROP FROM THE TOP". With last years race starting a little lower down due to weather, we need all the practise we can get on the snow!


The Nukeproof staff and athletes will be heading up the hill on the first lifts of Thursday morning to ride with and film a mini edit with Nukeproof fans as people drop in from 3300m at the top of Pic Blanc. On hand will be Vanzac's Jackson Davis, CRC-Mavic ace Kelan Grant, Chris Cumming rad youth from Team Wideopen returning for another assault. They will also be joined by first time Megavlanche Nukeproof racers Sandra Rubesam and the Wideopen Mag Dan Cope, Connor Smith and Christo Gallagher.


This is the racers opportunity to practise the infamous start to the Megavalanche is awesome fun (and freaking nerve-racking) early in the morning on freshly packed piste bashed snow in preparation for the race itself. Be awesome to meet riders, ride with the pro's (and watch them struggle too) and possibly get some holiday footage of the wildness (you don't need to be riding on a Nukeproof).



THE PLAN:

Meet at the Pic Blanc Téléphérique station (2700m to Pic Blanc 3300m /Top of the main DMC)

Thursday 05-07-18

Time: 8:30 AM (first lift at 9:15am)

Head up to the top and start dropping in from 9:30-10:30. Maybe see you in Alp D'Huez for a light refreshment at Lunch.
