2016 was a radical year for Nukeproof with an EWS win and numerous podiums at the World Cups and National Downhill titles, plus a whole heap of fun was had. Here are some of the highlights.
ok so i have a theory that brosnan goes to nukeproof this year. reunite with his mentor sam hill. and nukeproof/chain reaction parted ways with one of their downhillers. thoughts?
he has really lost speed at DH and i have a feeling that he will never be as fast as he used to be at DH. it's bummer, but at least he kill it at Enduro.
@hazmanno: but you can see for example Gee Atherton who's 31 years old like Sam but still pass qualify and got 11th place overall last year. you can see Greg Minar who is even older than them, finished 4th place overall last year and you could see Steve Peat still on the podium when he was 34 years old. i agree with you that the age affect. absolutely. but i don't think that it's only about age. any way, it's depress me because Sam is my favorite rider. i really want to see him back on the podium at DH!
@Eden4: Sam has lost the DH mentality, he has had plenty of injuries they take their toll. Then come the family and kids, he will kick enduro ass as for DH its over. I look forward too seeing him get wild at the EWS.
@BMXrad: he just said he was getting bored of the same stale tracks that suited different skills, and that he got stoked on the raw trails that enduro offered, and wanted to give that a go. The injuries held him back a bit too. But can't forget he was still on top of the podium not that long ago, and is still capable of top 10 finishes more than likely.
I like it but if Heap is now in senior I think they are set, he is a weapon
