They do bend but whatever they're cheap I guess. I'll just get another hoop laces to the hub after this one is dead

So far it's been okay. It's currently bent and flatspotted in two places but other than that it lasted the season. Even if it does taco they're only like $60 so I can just lace a new one to the hope hub. It's a great budget wheel solution if you're tired of putting expensive wheels on your bike just for them to die.
