Tested: Do Short Cranks Work For Tall Riders?
@dmackyaheard: 28T. I could use a 30T but would end up in the 50T granny too often so I opted to try to do most of my pedaling in 2nd gear for better chain line.

Tested: Do Short Cranks Work For Tall Riders?
I ripped the 165s off my patrol after 2 rides and went 155. That bike was unrideable in techy terrain at 165 for me. At 5'8" with a 29" inseam the 155s are absolutely perfect and I actually feel more powerful bc I'm using bigger muscles through a larger portion of the stroke.

Jan 16, 2023Fox X2 Factory with 2023 revisions
$400 USDHi Guys,
Just received my X2 back from Fox California - fully rebuilt under warranty (I simply blew a seal and FOX upgraded it with the following)
- NEW REVISED outer Kashima shock body
- NEW REVISED damper body eyelet assemblies
Fox beefed up both these parts (more wall thickness on shock body, more reinforcement across trunnion eyelet assembly) to fix the Float X2 failures of the past.
- Have not ridden or mounted shock since warranty service.
- Like New condition - The air sleeve assembly has one year of riding on it.
- Set at 205mm x 62.5mm, but can be configured in 60mm/62.5mm/65mm stroke length configurations via changing spacers.
I simply decided to just stick with my backup shock while this one was out for service, so now this is for sale.
This was on my Transition Patrol and the TUNE ID and other info is shown in the attached picture.
Thanks,
Nick

RockShox Flight Attendant Upgrade Kits Now Available
@hardtailparty: PS just watched your Slack R install video(s). I too had to bring out the sander to make it fit in the SB 100 frame I just picked up. Holy sketchy! Thanks for the courage to do it

Back for durability and less spoke tension faff. Front for buttery alloy feel letting the wheel better mold to surfaces and grip.

@jsnfschr: yep agreed that my 2 dingers would have destroyed alloy as well. I should have thought about replacing it with Strife, dang...

We Are One Announces New Convergence Carbon Rims & Wheels
I've smoked Qty 2 Unions in the last 2 years - only 150 lbs, but do very disrespectful things to my bicycles and really like riding rocks and tech. That said, they were a breeze to work with on replacement both times and only had to pay for shipping. It's a sick insurance policy.

Review: The 2023 Yeti SB120 is a Comfortable Trail Cruiser
@big-red: good to hear! I was referring specifically to a few notorious problems the SB 100 had as it was a different SI layout. Yeti pushed out 3 iterations of fixes early on. What's cool tho is I called Yeti before I bought the frame second hand and they offered to send me the latest iteration free.
