Tom Pidcock Drops Out of Tour de France with Covid
@daugherd: if you know you would have likely died, maybe it's time to change something in your life? Get your immune system working properly, train your lungs and cardiovascular thingies. Ride your bike more often, even if it's an ebike, etc.

Video: Weird Bikes, Boutique Frames & Dangerholm Builds - Eurobike 2024
Not only that, at this point seeing him sumbitting posts with these hypey builds on a monthly basis can only associate with "sublimation" and "desperate attention seeker". I know there is also a grain of true dedication and childlike interest in biking as a whole, but its 5% at most.

How Can e-Bike Batteries Be Recycled?
> Can the metals be made into new high-quality batteries (genuine recycling) or are they made into lower-quality products (downcycling), as is often the case with plastic recycling? Nice, 500 symbols and the question is still unanswered. ESG bullshit at its best.

First Ride: Michelin's Aggressive New Wild Enduro Tires
RIP old tread pattern, will miss your shorty-like performance in the wet and assegaish performance in the dry. Wonder if the redesign is more of a cost optimization issue (matrix shall look the same as for DH22) than about performance gains...

Sixpack Announces New Internal Cable Routing System
Why use plastic in the headset in the first place? Yes, it won’t break, but it will add lateral flex felt through the handlebars. Especially for folks who have already tried products like intend stiffmaster for their singlecrowns.

Daysaver Release Essential8 Multi-Tool
@Mac1987: I own daysaver 8 and the highly touted “swiss” quality is so disappointing, especially considering the tool’s price. Bits have marks even after gentle use, and philips bit has large dents. Guess it’s a hundred bucks emergency “daysaver” that you can use only once :)

Throwback Thursday: 22 Freeride Bikes From Past Darkfests
Kaudela's Merida with dated geometry, clamp stem, seatclamp with quick release, non-matching rims and sketchy USD fork, obviously.
