Pinkbike Poll: How Much Does a Bike's Climbing Performance Matter to You?
How bout the I'll hike slope course before I pedal my ass up hill? The I'll dig dirt jumps before I pedal? I'll deal with scooter kids at the skate park before i pedal? I'll smash corners in a homeys back yard before peddling. I've been riding for nearly 10 years I ride over 100 days a year I haven't been for a true xc ride since the 90s when I stopped riding as a kid cuz spandex n peddling was fucking lame. As an adult I just dont do it. Anyone hear who thinks it's a lazy thing I invite you to hike slope courses and dig dirt jumps and see how lazy we really are. It's just comes down to what I like to ride. Raw rowdy tech or big jumps. The majority of what I enjoy riding an xc bike wouldn't do what I want. Everyone enjoys different things and a different ride style

Interview: Jared Graves Comments on Failed Drug Test
@Gregorysmithj1: I guess I am unaware of the fall out from it. I certainly understand the poor publicity but I just have trouble believing people went wow lance cheated and stopped riding. If it affected corporate sponsors, media funding ect then I can understand how it deeply affected the sport. I cant see this having the same affect.

Interview: Jared Graves Comments on Failed Drug Test
@Gregorysmithj1: Tank the bike industry? 100s of shops that went under because of Lance's use of PED? This is good, your concept that they will massively hurt the industry, most people buying parts and bikes from shops dont know who rider these riders are. Mtn creek is richie's home mountain. He can often be scene riding at it. I would be shocked to learn even one rider goes "w0w richie used PED I'm never riding creek again and certainly not bringing my business to the awesome bike shop next to creek" come on seriously the only people this will have a massive affect on besides those personally involved is all they keyboard warriors on PB. Everyone calling these guys cheaters and a disgrace need to stop and realize. These athletes have worked extremely hard and are exceptionally talented riders. It's not like once an athlete uses a PED that they go from the best rider in your group to suddenly putting up strong cat1 results. Let's understand something about the athlete and the substance before the fans start trying to burn our own industry. The problem with PED is one athlete can have an unfair advantage due to a supplement correct? Is it an unfair advantage to a factory rider who has a mechanic that's on salary being paid more than the privateer makes in his 9-5? If you're factory rider and you have parts that no one else does, is this an obvious clear advantage? Yes I understand they are breaking rules and need to be punished but to suddenly say they are going to personally tank an industry, disgrace us all and affect my earning power in this industry now that's comical. At the end of the day its still just riding bikes.

Pinkbike Poll: How Long is Your Average Mountain Bike Ride?
I'm married with two kids a 2 year old n 2 month old. I ride nearly daily. I choose to work at a bike park I ride almost every day for work or ride after work a bit. I take my daughter to ride her balance bike n I practice parking lot tricks while she kicks around. I wait till my wife and kids have plans n head to other mountains with friends maybe 1-2x a month. Oh I go to the gym 3x a week. They have babysitting so my kids get watched while we work out together. When I get those bits of chance I ride on my own time I rode harder n more serious than I did before I value my time more now. Don't have time to race like I used to though

Finals Results: Vallnord DH World Cup 2018
@EliotJackson: Elliot we would still love to see you and Ben doing a break down together. Bouncing some ideas and just different personality off each other would be great! This type of content you guys are putting out is awesome and gives more depth into the racing scene such as you see on sports center. It's awesome! And gives me one more way to waste time with bikes. Killing it Elliot thank you

Video: Andrew Taylor Preps for His Ultimate Road Trip - The Lower 48
@AndrewTaylor: ya depending on your route you could come through CT then into RI for diamond hill then Vietnam or Lynn woods in Massachusetts. You can get diamond hill n Vietnam in the same day. From there that evening make the drive up to highland (few hours) ride highland then leave for either attitash (highly suggested true Dh) or go to Maine n hit sugar Bush. Head up to Vermont for Killington then make your way through Massachusetts to thunder. It's on the Western side of mass bout an hour east of Albany NY. That leaves you set for either plattekill (if open) or Windham.
