It's off season. The days are short, nights long. Most of the professional race fraternity have laid down their DH whips in favour of barbells, trail bikes, and - let's be honest - a few well-earned nights down the pub.

Not Marco Lamaris however...

Having sustained a broken wrist and clavicle during the first race block this season (Rd. 2 - Leogang), Marco was forced to sit out of the racing to rehabilitate his arm until Fort William World Champs rolled round in August.

It wasn't an easy return for him on the harsh boulders of Aonach Mòr, and he battled through the next block of World Cups trying to re-establish his mindset after the injury. Picking his pace back up and regaining composure and confidence on the bike towards the end of the season, he won junior category at the iXS European Cup round in Verbier in September.

Not content, he's still lapping as winter approaches, honing his skills and making up for lost time on his top-specced Propain Rage. For this project he chose Dirfi trails in Evia, Greece - a good place to escape the slop usually affiliated with winter training in Europe, and not far from home.

Join Marco as he reflects on his 2023 season on "An Autumn Stroll"

Marco will be racing the full season of DHI in 2024 so give him a follow and give him a cheer if you see him in between the race tape (or poles, as they now are!).

Cheers!
