PRESS RELEASE: David Cachon

The new sponsorship with the Patrol Mountain bicycle brand is not the only novelty in the Spanish rider's career as he has also surrounded himself with the brands of the Shimano group for the next 3 years. Lazer, Pearl Izumi, Pro Bike Gear, Bikefitting.com, Vittoria and of course Shimano. And a last-minute addition that will illuminate the paths through which his adventures take place: MagicShine. The firms SR Suntour and Alchemist Wheels will continue to support David's adventures as they have been doing years ago.

For those of you who aren't familiar, Patrol Mountain is an Indonesian bicycle brand focussed on producing no-nonsense off-road bikes. The whole Patrol ethos is to 'Patrol The World', enjoy riding and experience what 2 wheels can offer no matter your age. It's this sense of adventure that brought myself and Patrol together and we have some truly exciting projects and ideas in the works that we can't wait to share. I'm really excited to show you all what the Patrol C091, E-Six and 691 Evo are really capable of.

bigquotesI feel very identified with the brand as my riding style fits perfectly with the Patrol philosophy, exploring the world with my bike and trying to find that lost spot. It is not always an easy task and for this you need the material to be very reliable. In addition, Patrol brings back incredible memories of my adolescence as I dreamed of having a Patrol 4x4 and finally I managed to get one, a Nissan Patrol GR that gave me some of the best moments I have lived behind the wheel of a car.David Cachon

The rest of the brands that will accompany David in the coming years are very well known in the cycling sector and have all the necessary requirements to bring any adventure, no matter how strange or difficult, to a successful conclusion.

Shimano: Without a doubt, it is the brand with capital letters in our cycling sector. 100 years of pure history of our sport. There is little to say about it but it is always good to know that it was born from the hand of its founder Shozaburo Shimano. In February 1921 he was born Shimano Iron Works at Higashi Minato in Sakai City when he was 26 years old. On the site of a demolished celluloid factory, he rented an area of almost 40 square meters. The monthly rent was 5 yen. At that time, the new establishment had a single lathe, which was about 1.8 meters long. He had borrowed that machine from Sano Iron Works, benefiting from his friendship with his owner.

Lazer: One of the oldest brands in cycling, born in 1919. Its products are the result of almost 100 years of experience, passion and dedication. We always try to create the perfect combination of design, comfort, safety and technology. All products are designed in Belgium and are available in more than 50 countries.

Pearl Izumi: In 1950 a man named Kinji Shimizu had to pedal for many kilometres carrying clothes from one town to another in Japan. Fourteen years passed, and he went from loading clothes onto a bicycle to redefining what each rider would wear.

PRO Bike Gear: Components born from relentless research, development and testing, using the latest material and design technologies. From professional athletes to casual riders, PRO components help get the most out of every bike.

Bikefitting.com: The bicycle, the components and the clothes that we wear on it should be our second skin, an extension of ourselves that allows us to get the most out of them. Bikefitting analyzes our posture, position, measurements, height and much more. Everything you need to have the best experience on the bike.

Vittoria: Vittoria is one of the world's leading bicycle tire manufacturers, with an annual production of more than 7 million tires and 900,000 high-performance tubular and cotton tires. Its R&D centre produces the best racing tires at all levels. Vittoria also entered the premium roofing market in 2014.

SR Suntour: SR Suntour was established by Sakae Ringyo Company in Tokyo, Japan. Throughout its history, it has always been committed to innovation and technology, obtaining today some of the best suspension forks on the market. In recent years SR Suntour has been on almost every podium on the planet in different categories and modalities.

Alchemist: Born in 2012 in Italy. Alchemist carbon wheels use exclusive raw materials: thanks to alliances with the best producers in the world. This is how they get the new materials and compounds exclusively, obtaining an important competitive and technological advantage. The design, production and assembly of each individual component of the wheel is carried out entirely in Italy.

MagicShine: Since 1999 Magicshine has focused on the professional area of outdoor lighting, with a mission to provide high-performance lights for nighttime outdoor activities, thus keeping people safe in the dark. They currently offer a wide range of lights for cycling and mountain biking.
