Yup, still never riding an ebike, and highly considering quitting the industry as a whole and going back to bmx.

Ride Concepts' Transition Clip-in Shoe - Interbike 2018
@mikelevy: it would make sense in a Slopestyle or bmx oriented shoe, but I’ve never bruised the insides on my feet trail, or enduro, or DH riding. I’m curious myself. I’m also curious why it’s in the insole. In a kneepad, it firms up to protect that soft tissue and ligaments in the knee. If I’m landing hard, I’d want cushion on my heel or forefoot, not firming foam. Sounds like it defeats the purpose in the real world, maybe great as something new from a marketing standpoint.

Ride Concepts' Transition Clip-in Shoe - Interbike 2018
The inner cuff needs it because crank arms. I wish my vans had it in there for catching tailwhips. Why it’s in an SPF shoe? Beats me

Bike Check: GT Fury - Wyn Masters & Martin Maes - La Bresse DH World Cup 2018
@maglor: as a professional mechanic I entirely disagree. I see far more broken quick links (mostly kmc) than properly installed pins. The pin isn’t very hard to do at all. People tend to reuse quick links and that’s usually when they break.
