As the race season draws to a close the Propain Dirt Zelvy boys hit up the final BDS of the year in Llangollen. Final standings were up for grabs… so how did it go?

After a lot of controversy at the previous BDS, Phil Atwill was out to prove a point. He'd just got hold of the brand new Carbon Rage from Propain so he was eager to give that a beating down these hallowed steeps of Llangollen in North Wales. He was still nursing an injured knee from Andorra, but he cracked on to gain a 4th in seeding, showing he was once again in contention for another Elite podium. He wasn't too impressed with the track, calling it somewhat of a goat track, but as the holes appeared and it started to roughen up, it became a much better track.

Phil unfortunately didn't have the best race run, finishing 6th and just off the back of the podium. Not the best way to finish the season in his eyes, but none the less he was happy. He's off to Finale Ligure in a few days to give the new bike a bit more hassle on some rougher terrain.

James Purvis on the other hand did have a much better weekend. At first he wasn't really feeling the track - he just couldn't get into all the awkward turns and slower speed riding. He seeded in the top 3, and followed it up with another top 3 result, in 3rd. Although he's not had the best of luck at the World Cups this year - he's certainly pulled his weight at the national races, with several podiums and a win back at Moelfre. Good work Purvis. And have fun pulling the grass out of your teeth.

That's the last race of the year for us, so we'll catch you all next year. We'll have a few more videos over the coming month to keep you tied over into next year. Peace out!
