Pinkbike Poll: Which Mountain Bike Standards Should Stick Around?
BSA BB shell and 30mm spindle aren't actually that good a combo. 30mm is a bit big, the BB has to be made a bit too thin and you lose stiffness. 24mm is best for BSA shell. We need a larger diameter threaded standard for 30mm spindles, or ditch them for 24mm.

YT Releases 24" & 26" Mini Jeffsys for Kids
Need more decent hardtails for kids. Something a bit more budget friendly but still capable. I don't think they need thru-axles and boost standards. They don't weigh enough for it to be necessary. They can get away with less stiff bikes. I'm surprised that there are not more hardtails with entry level air forks in 24 and 26 inch wheel sizes under 700USD. Cheap forks are even more terrible for kids than they are for adults because they are not heavy enough to get any travel out of the coils (but I guess the lack of dampening isn't an issue then, lol). At least with an air fork you can run bugger all pressure so the fork is responsive.
