After a busy first year of learning our place in the trail building world, we are excited to announce our involvement with building in the St. Louis area this Winter and Spring.

We were first contacted in the Spring of 2019 about potential builds floating through city and county councils in the St. Louis area. Since then we have been on two consulting and fundraising trips and are moving forward on building a bike park with the City of Eureka as a sub-contractor to Nomad Trails.

Gateway Off-Road Cyclists (G.O.R.C.) have worked for decades building expansive singletrack in the area and have recently seen the need for progressive trails and mountain bike infrastructure in the area to introduce the next generation of riders and builders. G.O.R.C. Gravity was soon formed as a subsidiary to help get these specific projects rolling and expand the already amazing riding in the area.

While we were there in early December we chatted with Brad Kovach of Terrain Magazine, the leading publication for outdoor recreation in the St. Louis Area, to discuss the current trails, the importance of progressive trail building, and how we hope to have a positive influence on the bike community in the Midwest. Below are interviews with R.A.D. founder Cam Zink and R.A.D. Project Coordinator Cody Wilkins.

We have a couple of announcements that are still a little early to bring to light, but stay tuned. We will be producing a video documenting the process, area we are building and of course the finished project. There are a lot of key players in getting these projects to the point of breaking ground and we need to thank The Mountain Bike Shed of Eureka, G.O.R.C and G.O.R.C Gravity, The City of Eureka, Terrain Magazine, and so many more with bringing this project to where it's at. Keep an eye out for a full recap soon!

Grew up riding the old logging roads outside of Eureka in high school in the late 1980s. That was a complete anomaly at the time. So crazy to see Eureka on Pinkbike 30 years later.
