Results are right here and as usual, Bariloche delivered. The first race of the 2018 iXS Downhill Cup season has come to a dramatic close in Argentina. Marcelo Gutierrez (COL - Giant Factory Off-Road Team) took a well-earned victory by staying calm and consistent.
Last year's Bariloche iXS Downhill Cup winner, Marcelo Gutierrez, posted up the fastest result.
Mauricio Acuna confirmed his early season form and took the silver medal position.
Jeremias Maio (ARG - Pivot Cycles Argentina) rounded out the Top 5, just 12-seconds behind Gutierrez.
Adrien Loron (FRA - Norco SRAM) finished 9th, about 14-seconds off the top.
Facundo Descalzo earns gold in the Junior class against a stacked field of young guns with a time that would have placed him 6th in Elite Men's.
The iXS Cup season kick-off concluded in Argentina under sunny skies with extreme dry conditions.
¡Daale! "Como siempre felices acá en Bariloche". Es mismo una competencia muy distinta.. Lo terreno mas empinado, roto y "anti-grip" que yo he pedaleado. Una pista azul es como una bouble-negra en otros hogares. ¡Saludos a todos de la competencia!
