After more than one month of absence, the iXS European Downhill Cup finally returned with another race. The second but last race of the season invited 300 riders from 25 different countries to Spicak (Czech Republic). At the end Johannes Fischbach and Veronika Widmann were the fastest.

Jasper Jauch (GER - Liteville) took second spot today, down almost 2.5 seconds on Fischbach.

6.5 seconds away NS Bikes rider Slawomir Lukasik (POL) missed the podium this weekend but it was enough to put him into the second place of the overall ranking.

Italian Champion Veronika Widmann was fastest of the Elite Women's field, with Eleonora Farina only one second back. Sandra Rübesam (GER - Rose Factory Team) came on third. There's then a little gap between these three riders and the rest of the field. Looks like the Spicak track is proving to be quite a challenge for riders to get down cleanly on.

Too narrow for a world cup track I'd say but it definitely looks as hard as some WC track!

i wouldn't say better then wc tracks but defiantly the same level, might be even harder with too many rocks sections that starts of the gate, it need some more high speed big jumps sections

Quite a few IXS tracks are also World Cup tracks like Val Di Sol and Maribor to name a few. You also need to take into account transport and fans area as IXS doesnt attract as many fans so there is the option to race in more remote areas. But I do agree some of the IXS tracks would be cool to watch a WC on!!!
