Seeding Runs are finished in Schladming. Is this a preview of what we can expect tomorrow? Loic Bruni (FRA - Lapierre Gravity Republic) was fastest, Sam Blenkinsop (NZL - Lapierre Gravity Republic) came in second and Harry Molloy (GBR - RRP Ghost) in third. Tracey Hannah (AUS - Hutchinson UR) had the fastest time in the field of 40 women; check out the rest of the times...

good to see brendog doing well on the technical steep tracks! need some on the WC circuit so he can get a podium

After Brendogs comments about Leogang being to much of a bikepark and this which is very much more his cup of tea it would be good to see him get a top 10 or even 5!

flag literally (Jun 21, 2014 at 14:08) (Below Threshold)
yes, they should add certain tracks so a single rider can have a chance.
  • 19 14
Exactly, instead of Fairclough bitching about every single track not being to his liking he should up his game like the majority of the other riders
  • 19 2
So riders aren't allowed to say whether they like a track or not.
  • 7 3
yes, but when he's been complaining about tracks and saying ' i should train/condition more' since 2010, it's different to not liking a track, it's called whining.

they should put races at utah, every gap is more than 50ft.

brendan only "whines" about a particular sort of track. ie. those that put more of an emphasis on pedalling efficiancy and vo2 max than bike handling and bravery. good on him i say. if you really care about all that fitness stuff go do an enduro or xc race. dh should be about pure bike skills. brendan complains more than he used to cos the tracks get lamer every year. we shouldnt be ripping on him for it, we should be thanking him. keep it up brendan and good luck.

@gabriel-mission9 i get what you're saying about tracks being about skill and bravery but Brendog wont win a World Cup on a steep gnarly track either so he should put up or shut up.

He tried to train harder, but it didn't work. I think he just needs to have fun to do good, maybe if he trains, but has no fun, he just rides bad. And even if he does more workouts, I don't think he has the physiology to compete against guys like Gee Atherton, etc. He's whining a lot, but he's right! There should be a good mix of tracks on the WC circuit, but right now, there are way more pedally tracks than technical tracks. Andorra last year was great, but this year there's nothing like it. Hafjell and MSA are cool tracks, but they're not like Schladming.

I agree brendog has little chance to even be top 3 in any technical wc track, but there are really too much flat section in the wc until, in many tracks the pedaling section is the primary determining factor

Well look at Josh Bryceland for an example, he was much akin to Fairclough in that he used to suffer on more pedal orientated tracks and tended to fare better on technical tracks and again like Brendan wasn't one for putting in hours of gruelling training. But in the off season this year he seems to have put more and more time into hard training and fitness and is currently reaping the rewards off the back of his maiden victory. Fairclough is a naturally gifted, talented and often brilliant rider, and ill I'm saying is if he put more effort into training for the pedally tracks instead of whining about how they're not suited to him, he'd be more than capable of bagging more top tens and even wins.

Matt Hunter doesn't live on 100th of seconds or podium spots.

Loic is on fire. He'll probably want to make up for what happened to him on the last WC round.

It would be so great if Fairclough got the win. He is so overdue for a step on the podium.

How come gloves were compulsory last week in Austria, but not this week. World has gone mad, let the riders ride how they want!

I believe it has to do with bike park regulations.

With how much all the wc riders seem to get excited st the thought of schladming i'm suprised the turn out isn't a full world cup field. I guess all the travelling in the last few weeks some of them just wanted to get home.

5 guys in the top 100 are older than me. The worst part is that I'm 28...... Not a good feeling.
