My name is Reilly Horan, I'm from Tauranga, New Zealand and I live in Sherwood Park, Alberta Canada.
Living in Alberta and trying to be competitive in slopestyle mountain biking can be a challenge. The landscape around Edmonton and Sherwood Park is a mix of; heavy industrial refineries, developing residential communities, and rolling prairie farmland. Not to mention an extremely cold, harsh winter that can sometimes last up until May. Hardly the place for such a gravity fed sport.
The MTB scene in Sherwood Park consists of myself and three other mates, so getting everyone together for a session, or to dig on the same day rarely happens. Luckily, my friends and I have had the opportunity to develop a set of trails on private property, far away from poaching kids and destructive city council. For my season edit I decided to film solely at our local zone and at a set of trails in Red Deer, Alberta. So big thanks to the Red Deer guys for letting me come dig and ride!
