Round 4 of the Enduro Wet Series comes at you from County Wicklow, Ireland known as the "Garden of Ireland" it's full of stunning panoramic views across the county and the Irish sea. Racing was a one day affair with six stages spread across the hill and a rough racing time of between 25-30 minutes with practice on stages 1-4 on the Friday and 5-6 on Saturday.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with blazing sunshine and dusty trails (not what were used to at the mo) so with a tonne of eagerness we set on up the hill keen to crack on and hit up some of Ireland's finest and we weren't disappointed. All the stages on Friday were so good and running mega fast and I felt like I was carrying a good bit of pace and definitely enjoying myself riding round with a good crew and a big ol' smile on my face. Waking up Saturday morning the forecast said to expect showers in the morning and hopefully clearing after a few hours, unfortunately, that couldn't have been further wrong and it rained solidly all day turning the tracks into streams and even the finish area waterlogged. Trying to hold off until as late as possible as only 2 stages were being practised I decided to finally bite the bullet and just get out there. Once I'd got soaked through and embraced the weather the stages were amazing and the mud just made things a good challenge.

Saturday's weather took its toll on body, kit and bike but still nothing but smiles.

After a monster of a cleanup operation, some good food and a decent nights sleep it was time to throw it down for race day and give it everything. Waking up to an overcast day the rain had finally stopped, Ireland's known for its crazy fans and they didn't disappoint this time round coming out in their masses despite the weather. On the track it had turned Saturday's slop into much thicker tackier mud making it really hard to keep speed and pedal through. Overall I felt like I rode ok but was constantly struggling to keep speed or find a rhythm and it showed on a couple of stages just dropping time on areas where I should have been ok, overall though another top 100 squeezing into 95th so still pleased with that and onwards and upwards.

Deep in contemplation after the race, pleased to have finished and be in one piece.

So a tough race and despite feeling a little off the pace happy to get into that top 100 again and keep the momentum rolling. Big thanks to:
