Must Watch: Gee Atherton Turns Storm-Shattered Dyfi Hillside Into A Wild New Line in ‘Windfell’
@EvilGarfield: Within a healthy ecosystem, a pest wouldn't be called a pest but is simply part of the cycle that keeps it healthy. In case you are intersted, there is a ongoing rewilding project in Scottland, where they winch down trees in a monoculture and leave them there. While Scotland isn't Wales, i assume it would work similar. Interview: Meet the Chinese Rider Going Viral for His Massive Freeride Sends
@levaca: I believe you mean the warping when he lands in slowmo? Cheap/old actioncams used to do that. They give you 60 or 120 fps while not having hardware capability to record enough frames, so they use software to fill the gaps which just warps the frames to make it look smooth.

Bike Check: Ethan Craik's Scott Gambler - Les Gets DH World Cup 2025
@iridedj: I think it's just a combination of two products. STFU.Bike at the top and the closest to the bootom one I could find is the 3MIN19SEC C.Guide. If it was one product, it would use the same amount of/ spacing for the zip ties IMO.

Intense M1 Prototype & 3 More Gearbox-Equipped DH Frames - Taipei Cycle Show 2025
Most factory DH teams seem to be riding mostly prototypes anyways. Producing a gearbox mount is definetly more expensive but all in all I don't think it is that big of a price increase. Especially considering Intense partnered with a 3D printer company. Intesnse develops, Trumpf prints, Intense tells everyone about it (maybe on Pinkbike) and they lived happily ever after. Maybe.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Pinkbike Editors' Favorite Riding Packs
@mugglesman: Have been using the Siskin 8 for quite some time now. The only downside is, and I don't know if this is unique to this MTB pack or if it is common practice, that the bladder reduces the useable space inside the pack to some degree. But If it's not too small for you with the filled bladder in it, you will have a great time.

Vlad Dascalu Gets 17 Month Suspension for Anti-Doping Whereabouts Rule Violations
Comments from the organizers of the race in short: - challenging 2 day amateur race with ages ranging from 16 to 60+ - typical cut off time is between 5 to 7 minutes - even before the finish line, if you are outside a certain corridor (roads are being opened up behind the support vehicles) you are out of the race - typically only 33% to 50% finish the race in time - this year the race was finished in the shortest time ever with a cut off time of only 2:30 min - only 52 riders were able to finish in time which is in line with previous iterations of the race when there were no drug tests https://elperiodicodevillena.com/comunicado-de-la-organizacion-del-torneo-interclubs-vinalopo-de-ciclismo/ While there is no proof that noone left the race due to the possibility of a drug test, there is a difference between not being fast enough to finish in time and deliberately quitting.

Brian's Randoms from Sea Otter 2024
@kipvr: UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) works with all common derailleurs. The difference is in the way the hanger mounts to the frame (one size fits all UDH compatible frames), not in the way the derailleur mounts to the hanger.

[UPDATED] Final Elite XC Results & Overall Standings from the Mairiporã XC World Cup 2024
@shreditlikeitshot: There is always one stream that is only one language and with ad breaks as if you were watching it on your tv and another that lets you choose language without ad breaks. I always search for the sport I want to watch (in this case it would be MTB) and sometimes only then you will see all active streams. (If you go to current programm there is most likely only one or two streams showing up) Then for me there is is a stream described as German commentary and one as German commentary without breaks. Only the second one lets you chose the language. Before Discovery+ I watched all Eurosports streams somewhere else where they did a much better job displaying what's on at the moment, it has definetly taken some time to get used to discoverys system if you can call it that haha. I hope it helps for the next time.
