With a name like 'Niner' and a mission statement that shouts that it will not be making mountain bikes with any other wheel diameter, all eyes are on the Colorado-based bike maker in anticipation of its first true downhill design. Niner invited Pinkbike to an interview with design engineer George Perry and product manager Barret James. The idea was to offer Pinkbike members an 'open book' look at Niner's development process - from concept to final production - of a pro-level 29er DH racer.
