Frenchman Jordan Sarrou destroyed his cross-country opponents on his way to winning the World Cup XC series in 2014 as a U23 competitor. With French racers on the rise in every mountain bike discipline, the BH Suntour KMC rider may be on his way back to the podium at the highest level of the sport. Sarrou will be racing his dual-suspension machine at Val di Sole, the BH Lynx Race, which is a new, 2018 model for the Spanish bike maker. The VDS cross-country circuit has been criticized by some as lacking the technically challenging features that have recently transformed the genre,so Sarrou may be taking a risk. The gravel-road climbs here favor the advantage that rigid frames offer when crushing tall gears out of the saddle. Conversely, however, the Frenchman's choice could turn the tide later in the race, using energy saved over Val di Sole's high-speed rock gardens to deliver the goods in the final laps. We shall see.
If my aunt had a package. She'd be my uncle.
toptube=599mm
headtube angle=68.5
seattube angle=73.5
chainstay=425mm
I'd say that's pretty"new school" geo for an XC bike. A lot of these riders just like long and low stems.
The scuplting under the top tube near the linkage is beautiful!
Tyres look good too, pity about the mismatched sidewalls...
You should be fine.
Its about time.
Next carbon lowers.
Its been done but this new generation of carbon fiber forks will keep the $ rolling in from the fork manafacturers.
Crowns ,stantions or lowers out of carbon fiber.
Like i said thats the next new fork we all need.
25% lighter
10% stiffer.
Every part optimized to be the lightest and stiffest ever.
Wouldnt you like to have a three and a half pound 170 mm travel fork?
Just like carbon wheels a price tag to match.
I beg to differ: why are F1 cars completely from carbon?
If, like you say, aluminium is "stiffer", then it should be able to make a "stiff" enough car from aluminium which should be as or lichter then the carbon version? No?
Realy.
You might want to google that.
Carbon fiber is two to four times as stiff as Al.
per weight.
Stantions need a smooth finish and a hard surface.
But stantions slide on oil impreg bushings.
The epoxy in carbon fiber is probably good.
If not a coating could be added to the stantions.
Manitou Marzocchi and rock shox have all used carbon fiber on forks.
