Leatt's DBX 3.0 Enduro Convertible Full-Face Helmet Update

 In fact I really hate those Bell helmets looks! This one is the only one that I find to be really sick (the brushed one)! But f*cking tired of waiting for it... today my lbs told me they won't even have them in october like they should have...they cancelled the order! So I'll have to wait a couple months (spring) if I don't find anything else before that. By the way, you're right for the pictures but we can now see some on vital's review!

 @Timo82: I feel like a dork wearing the full Bell. But that's a small price to pay for saving face.

 @sarah-maude: I said I hated the look of Bell helmets but in fact I just don't love them... BUT I reaaaaaally hate the Switchblade!!!! lol It's nice but only with the chin bar... But I know 2 people who have it so to each their own!

 @david-kooi: Leatt without chin bar looks sick!! The chin bar is a little bit long so on a side view it is kind of weird... your Bell is probably better looking than this one with the chin bar.

 @Barrymay Been holding off on one of these multi-purpose lids for a few years now, based on the fact that most are Fugly, heavy or both and was going to get a new Scott Stego to replace my aging Mythic.... loved that helmet, super comfy, stylish & light. Went to a demo day y'day and tried on the Super DH.. now I am not a fan of the Bell 'fit'. My partner has a 2R trail lid, and it has funny 'hotspots' and pinching on my shaped bonce.

I must say, that the Super DH blew my mind. Super comfy (HUGS your head), looks amazing (Not stupidly wide like the Giro sister helmet) and that spherical MIPS seems well thought out (doesn't move around like a bobble head)

Sufficed to say, I'm really REALLY glad I tried one on. Im normally pretty tight with the £££ and have to have a damn good reason to change brands/replace old kit... but yeah.. never thought Id want a Bell... but the fit & form just tick every box.. hope this helped.

 So Ron Pearlman has something to wear. The Ron Pearlman demographic has been ignored for far too long.

 Finally someone having my same thoughts..chin longer than peak make all those helmets look weird..leatt bell met..remember me of old ugly dh helmets.. The only one with detachable chin looking better is giro switchblade..

 i imagine it must be a tradeoff to get a lighter chinbar past certification-- pointier chin = less deflection?

 @employee7: I don't know. I think it is more for Jay Leno so that he, too, can bike.

 @olslash: As far as I'm aware, none of the removable chinbars are tested for certification, only the base helmet is tested. Only if they are permanently attached, ala the proframe, do they need to pass testing for certification.

 @ciszewski: here's an article from last year about the same helmet, evidently the chinbar had a different certification. No idea whether this is the same now, but the helmets look the same to my eye:

 @ciszewski: Giro switchblade has the astm rating with and without the chinbar. However the bell super (non DH) only has certification of being a half shell.

 @MMOF: sorry Leno is too much of a motor head he would probably ride an ebike. Possibly a steam powered one if he could find one instead.

 Ha! Yes! That's my biggest peeve about any full-face... not the weight, not the heat, but the fact you can't spit!

 They got it almost right... Really bummed they didn't have an adjustable fit dial system on the Proframe. Needing to rely on the padding for fit isn't very pedal friendly. I had to give mine up after 1 ride.

 Agreed! Why do all the fully vented full face helmets have to have a removable chin guard? I like my Proframe, but I’d like to have options. I’d also like to have the dial adjust fit.

 So you want us to wear a f*cking full face when we go xc riding!? Everybody will be laughing at us... Buy a second, xc, helmet? That's why we want those, to have only one helmet. Like our enduro bikes. Not a DH bike + XC bike.

 Fortunately FOX made a helmet for you, the rest of us would like to remove the chin bar please.

Unless you don't know, you can have a face plant almost everywhere if the shit goes wrong....

 @Timo82: I’m not suggesting all helmets to be made the same way. Where I ride most a light full face helmet make the most sense. I’ve seen enough face injuries on xc rides too. Yes I have the proframe, but I don’t love it and options are good. Who cares if people laugh at us?

 @gapos999: I know but do you wear a full face and full body armor on the street? You never know... I know shit happens but I'll take a chance when cross-country riding!

 @muddysocks: I've seen a girl riding with a full face and mouthpiece... It's okay if she feels safer with those! But I don't need that much for the easy trails. You're taking the ''people will laugh at us'' way too seriously, it was a joke, like I wouldn't care, but people WILL laugh at me because it just make no sense. I could wear it full time during our fall season (0-15°C) but noway I would when its 30-40°C!! I'll put back the chin bar when needed.
