Finaly there is some coverage of this event, really suprised at the lack of it, also surprised this is not a worldwide Pinkbike home page event rather than just UK users, after all some of the World cups best were racing , the IXS cup had less known riders and had a ton of coverage.
(Jul 22, 2014 at 15:05)
is that really what that little flag means? or does it mean it is coverage of a British event?
(Jul 22, 2014 at 16:06)
Interestingly last year's US national champs was worldwide coverage.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 1:54)
@raleighVoid Yeah Pinkbike launched it a while back, allows users in their countries to view relevant media. That's why we sometimes see smaller race event news like the mini enduro series, not exactly worldwide homepage news but interesting enough for the average Pinkbike user in the UK that might want to have a go at a race.

Gah, i never realised PB did this, what decent coverage from around the world am I missing out on? Is there some way to turn that off and give me all the contents?
(Jul 24, 2014 at 23:23)
Yeah I too dislike this
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:14)
finally some coverage of champs
(Jul 22, 2014 at 16:21)
Almost no coverage of an event that i got a good pic at gutted
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:04)
Ratboy is untouchable at the mo!
(Jul 22, 2014 at 23:41)
Watching that back brought back nightmares.. Rachel summed the track up best I thought. Never been at inners where so many people just went for 4 runs, maybe 5 on the Saturday.
At least there was a rave on all Saturday night somewhere in town and the generators started at 0600!
The 2 mile road ride was mint for each run, was real fair that some were getting lifts along it...
After how amazing the Scottish champs track was at Glencoe, it was going to be pretty tough for nationals to come close.

I'm suprised at how little mention there has been on pinkbike about those proto v-10's. I thought the 650b haters would have imploded as "their last true 26" hero team" went to the big size.
The fact that the syndicate team are all tall probably just means that 650b bikes fit them pretty well. However i'll let the conspiracy theorists go off on one on the subject instead.

Nice race edit. Real fun retro vibe, more required!
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:28)
anyone no why peaty and brcy on a white v10
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:35)
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:36)
wtf that's stupid that's what made that bike
(Jul 23, 2014 at 1:51)
Wtf are you on about??
(Jul 23, 2014 at 2:36)
I think he means that the 26 inch wheels is what made the bike special
(Jul 23, 2014 at 2:50)
well i dont get that point at all. Was it any less special when all the other bikes had 26" wheels?
(Jul 23, 2014 at 4:18)
(Jul 23, 2014 at 4:35)
Well then you are a freak
(Jul 23, 2014 at 5:09)
you dident need to call me a freak and leogang proved it dident need 27.5 inch wheels
(Jul 23, 2014 at 5:18)
Except if Loic hadnt crashed he would have won?
who was on 27.5 wheels?
(Jul 23, 2014 at 6:03)
there is no possible way of nowing loic wod have won
(Jul 23, 2014 at 7:45)
Apart from split times... Although keeping your ride together is a fundamental part of racing that Loic lacked that day.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 8:36)
maybe ratboy won is because his bike is easyer to corner than loics 650b
(Jul 23, 2014 at 8:38)
lol it wasnt exactly a tight twisty track Just forget about it, I cba to argue with a retard
(Jul 23, 2014 at 8:59)
Maybe if loic was running 26 inch he would have held that corner.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 9:24)
(Jul 23, 2014 at 10:11)
So was the 650b answer a guess? Or is that what they were on them for? They looked like older shaped frames.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 10:15)
@Rolley, it was on Dirt a few days ago that they were on 650 proto bikes. The Syndicate team were reluctant to say anything but you could see the 650 on the tyres.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 14:58)
@Fix-the-spade, cheers pal. Wondered when they would be on them. Doesn't fuss me too much what the pro's are riding. It's not like I can afford a £3000 V10 frame anyway. My 26 will do for now.
By the way, why has my question and your answer been neg propped?? Does that mean someone thinks my question was daft and your answer is wrong?? No bother.
This was a great vid and loving that Ratboy and SPS are on the top step again.
(Jul 26, 2014 at 1:40)
Agree with that. I think there is too much emphasis on wheel size - it's the rider that makes the difference. It's Ratboy's time.
(Jul 23, 2014 at 2:17)
LOL @ Katys cork popping too early.
Good effort on third though lass. Maybe get another Unit23 sesh at some point eh ;-)
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:29)
Ratboy is really on it this year and it's great to see I'm as national champion. Know he need a world title
(Jul 22, 2014 at 14:32)
They are Prototyes
