Words: Rocky Mountain

The Rocky Mountain Race Face Enduro Team is full of fresh faces and fired up to race the 2023 EDR World Cup Circuit (In case you missed the announcement). Welcome to a whole new season of The Jank Files.

In Episode One, the team heads to Tasmania, Australia for the first two rounds of the EDR World Cup. Torrential rain, pockets of dust, the Flu and super physical racing required the team to dig deep. But nothing lifts spirits like a good old fashioned dance in the mud and a house-wide Rubik's Cube challenge. It's good to be back. Welcome Jank fans, 2023 is shaping up to be a wild ride!

That Altitude continues to be one of the best looking bikes out there

I’ve owned a LOT of bikes over the past 3 years (9 I believe) and the newest altitude is the best all around bikes I’ve ever ridden. Not to mention, it just looks damn good.

@Keegansamonster: I did a demo ride on an XL which was a bit big for me and it was a very good bike.I'm trying to talk myself out of buying one right now, they are expensive over here.

@Lee-Gee: I can honestly say it pedals better than my shorter travel bikes like the prime but is still one of the softest feeling bikes when going Mach Jesus through the rough stuff. It’s incredible. It’s just money, you’ll make more of it

@Keegansamonster: I beat the hell of out mine cause I suck and it handles it like a champ. And it saves me from a lot of poor line choices. Just rocked it in Finale for 10 days straight and didn't have a single issue. 34 pounds for a pretty burly build (ex511s, cush core, X2 and a 170mm 36) means it pedals well enough and handles the abuse.

@Keegansamonster: I was surprised how well the XL I demo'd pedalled in the steeper setting, bit was as good as my Ripmo.
A Large which fits me properly should be even better

@Keegansamonster: what area(s) do you ride in? How would you compare the Sentinel (year??) to the Altitude?

 Nice straight lines!

@rrolly: pisgah, carvins cove, snowshoe, etc. basically I like any high speed and chunky. Mine was a V1 sentinel, and the altitude is basically an improvement in every aspect. Climbs better, descends much better, pedals standing better, etc. The altitude feels as good as the spire descending but climbs and pedals on mellow trails much better than the spire
