When the singletrack calls, the only thing left to do is rack your rig and answer. Make it happen with this prize package from Saris, featuring the new MTR 2-bike hitch rack.

This American-made rack is built to haul a variety of shredders, including those with wheelbases up to 53 inches, tires as wide as 5 and a beefy weight of 60 pounds.

This prize pack also includes an H2 smart direct drive trainer.

Yeah, we know that mountain biking and bike trainers don’t always mix. But sometimes you hit a jump wrong and the next thing you know - you’re in post-op staring at your arm in a sling. A smart trainer can be just the ticket to stay entertained and keep legs energized during recovery.

Because why let a broken bone (or two) slow you down?

And that’s not all - some sweet Saris swag makes winning all the better. Bring home a Saris branded jersey, hat, gaiter and the all-important mud guard.

Inside Saris: "Hey guys keep the rack folded up and hard to see in the imagery since we copied 1UP USA's design"
  • 18 9
I don't know... that's like saying Specialized copied Trek in making a bicycle.
  • 20 3
"Also put a 3-bike rack in the picture when we're giving away a 2-bike rack."
  • 8 2
Introduces brand new hitch mount in press release. Doesn't show brand new hitch mount with bike attached.
  • 6 5
@level4designs: False equivalence, a bike is too general of a concept. I was talking about the the specific design.
  • 23 7
To see what it looks like folded down and bikes on it... head on over to www.1up-usa.com/photos haha..
  • 2 0
@level4designs: Or Kuat copied Thule in making their rack.
  • 8 2
There's no better rack on the planet than 1up. Good racks aren't cheap cheap racks aren't good. good racks are made in the USA
  • 1 0
@level4designs: specialized only copies last year's biggest hits
  • 2 1
@oldtech: according to trimp anything made outside of USA is crap
  • 3 0
I love my 1up rack but there’s definitely many ways it can be improved. With similar tire hold only desig a from Saris, Thule, and Yakima coming I’m stoked
  • 38 3
Dang. Tough break, Saris. Y'all try to be nice and give free stuff away and people hound you for choice of pictures. Forget them, yinz are cool.
  • 8 5
LOL don't be so naive to think that Saris is giving away a rack from the goodness of their hearts. Notice the "sponsored" tag- It's product placement that costed Saris a pretty penny to get their product in front of an audience from one of the most highly concentrated MTB sites on the internet. I'm sure everyone at Saris is cool people- just don't be foolish enough to think this is charity.

@generationfourth: dang, who shit in your cereal?
  • 5 1
@generationfourth: haha, you're being called negative by a user named everything sucks. You really are negative.
  • 1 0
@bishopsmike: I wanted to reply negatively but saw the Canadian flag
  • 1 0
ok fine a little negativity ... notice how this is front page again? Further driving my point.

I'll just say, I have a Saris Glide. Works a treat. Thanks,
  • 6 0
Is it even politically correct to say you're impressed with someone's rack anymore?
  • 1 2
 I think you're overthinking it
  • 6 0
Don't think they will sell too many of them at $800
  • 2 0
Saris is really trying to move up market with this pricing strategy. $800 for the 3-bike version is competitive with Kuat or Thule, and only a bit more than the 1UP 2-Bike Heavy Duty + Add On.
  • 2 0
@PHeller: That price was for the two bike rack. The single bike rack is $500, The single bike add on is $350, and the two bike add on is $650.

  • 2 0
@mudjnky: Jeebus. That means to carry four bikes you're looking at $1150!
  • 1 0
@PHeller: No, $1450 for four bikes. $800 for base two bike rack and $650 for two bike add on.
  • 4 0
@mudjnky: Jeebus I cant do maths prices so high they blow my mind!
  • 5 0
Enjoy your new rack whoever wins.
  • 4 0
I fit six on the tailgate of my f150 and it only cost me $30,000 cdn so like 8 bucks us
  • 1 0
I borrowed a Saris freedom 2 bike for a trip a couple weeks ago and couldn't have been happier, I may buy one for myself. Bikes loaded in seconds and hardly moved at all during a three hour drive and 10 miles of dirt road. I passed my friend on our way up and he was carrying two bikes on his 1up and had the outside bike tied back to his roof rack to stabilize the entire rack.
  • 3 0
Perfect defense against photo radar and red light camera tickets. Most of these bike racks in my city never see a bike.
  • 6 5
Also, a perfect way to get a ticket. Most of these tray racks completely obscure your license plate, turn signals and brake lights. No thanks.
  • 5 1
@pdxkid: This is kind of true. Had two separate issues with the police not loving my rack.
  • 2 0
@igottaride: I've been pulled over 3 times with the rack folded up, and police have never said anything about it.
  • 2 0
@galvarado719: wow, someone has a worse driving record than me...(i get a speeding ticket every other year like clockwork).
  • 1 2
@flipoffthemonkeys: Please tell me that you don't live here in Pennsylvania. Or at least lie so I can feel safe.
  • 2 0
I really need a bike rack... I stuff my Rune in my 4Runner every ride, and even with a Maxle to quickly remove the front wheel, it's time consuming and takes up space...
  • 3 1
I picked up a cheap 20 dollar hitch mount rack, used some 4" PVC, (id works great for plus tires) glued on end pieces, cut that in half, bolted through the thick section into the cheapie carrier, and use lashing straps and industrial velcro to hold it in place. The two bikes don't move a bit. For daily rides, I can put the two bikes in the back of the van. but for trips where we need the third row seats it is great.
  • 2 0
I'm already 1up on most of you guys and ride all year long anyways so I will just sit this one out. Best of luck to you bro and bro ets.
  • 1 0
I did not know bike racks cost that much. We all got pick em up trucks and one guy has a car, who we helped weld and make his own rack for 2 bikes. Its so easy and cheap to do, I am surprised more riders dont make their own.
  • 1 0
My wagon would love the option to carry around my bike on the back all summer!

  • 2 0
Sorry about your luck I just entered
  • 1 1
Ohh, right now evaluating purchasing hich rack, saris and kuvat top 2 choices, 1up despite good revievw - heavy and ugly
  • 1 0
If you are still in the market... Get the 1up! You can get a single and a 1 bike add on. Run the single most of the time(it's lighter), but have the ability to carry 2 bikes. I have a kuat and it rubs the paint off my forks! Saris looks nice, but way OVERPRICED!
  • 1 0
1up is not heavy, and looks are subjective. Rust is ugly.
  • 1 0
@mtbyoda: I did choose yakima which is fine to carry 4 bikes with easy access to trunk, nice features as a bike lock and toolless install and install, however out of the box plastic was damaged - need to exchange/return, so lesson learned, will choose plastic less option, unfortunately hitch car carry 4+ bikes, hitch less car carry only 1, with roof load
